This is your lucky day! Never again will you have that queasy feeling in the pit of your stomach because you need a plumber, if . . . you call Bob Lee. Bob (with his son, Chris, in recent years) has helped me for about thirty years with all my plumbing needs in a large 78-year old house with 6 "vintage" bathrooms, and similar plumbing antiques that have offered Bob an array of challenges over the years. Always good natured, Bob doesn't grumble when he clears out the various bits and bobs--not-so-clean old sponges and used Brillo pads--under my sink before he can wiggle on his back, wrench in hand, to struggle for almost an hour with a rusted faucet that has bonded with the pipe to which it has been attached for over thirty years. Bob answers his own phone, can be reached in emergencies on nights and weekends, and then promptly shows up at your door before the sweat on your neck has had time to dry. The only time Bob did not come to my door, tools in hand, was when I left a message that water was gushing into my kitchen from a broken dishwasher. Bob called me back, while vacationing in Mexico, to refer me to another plumber. Consistently Bob makes appointments within the next few days and comes on time. He explains the choices and related costs before he begins work, clarifies how long he'll be if he needs to get a part, spends the time it takes to complete the work, and sends a reasonable bill. Bob has been consistently helpful, even when he won't send a bill. A year ago on Labor Day, I discovered that for the past few days, my sewer had backed up into my finished basement. I called Bob and he referred me to someone who repaired blocked sewers on holidays. Like taking a walk, calling Bob Lee when you have a plumbing problem will help keep your blood pressure low.

Bob is the best plumber who's ever done work for me, and I strongly recommend him. I trust him because he's been maintaining the ancient plumbing in my old house for 6 years. He's also a really nice guy. The plumbing systems in my house require delicate care to keep them running (all those radiators). And Bob does just that. He comes out every summer to prep and test the home heater before the winter. This time he found a broken relay which would have caused the heater to fail (during Christmas or New Years, of course). One memorable job was when I was out of town, heard that the basement was flooding, and called him in a panic early in the morning. He came out immediately, found that the hot water heater had failed, and replaced it. The thing is, he asked me about it before he did it, to get my input. Another job was when a hot water pipe was leaking, and he took my frantic call when he was out fishing. He appeared soon after at my house, fixed the pipe, found that other lines were rotted through, and replaced those all as well. He seems to have x-ray vision and can predict the future. So - if you need a plumber (and his son) whom you can trust and does/do a good job, get Bob. And have him check your heater before the winter.

Bob was very responsive in sending someone out for the job. Unfortunately, the person he sent out, named Bruce, did not provide satisfactory service (this is not Bob's son, who we liked from a previous job, and Bruce claims he is now the only one who works with Bob - more on this below).
First, Bruce was rude and unprofessional - my wife asked him some questions about what he doing, and he got so exasperated at her, frequently rolling his eyes and sighing, and finally rudely cutting her off and saying that she should just let him work and he would tell her what he did afterwards (apparently he was taking some measurements and couldn't keep track of his numbers and answer her questions at the same time, and he wasn't speaking in lay-person's terms, which only compounded the situation). As homeowners, we should be informed of what's going to be done to our home before the work gets started. It got so bad that my wife asked if she should call Bob to send someone else. Bruce responded that there is only him and Bob.  Which, if true, is unfortunate because a few years ago Bob and his son did a minor job at our place and we liked them, and even recommended them to others. Never again.
Second, Bruce never figured out the source of the problem, despite spending 2.5 hours (!) doing what he described above. He made some recommendations about unrelated matters like the brand of flappers we have in our toilets, and noticed that a toilet wobbled ever so slightly (but wasn't the source of the leak).  He also thinks that water must drip down directly from its origin (remember those ever-important measurements he was making?) - he measured the location of the water lines in our ceiling, and found that they lined up with the edge of our shower stall, and concluded that the water getting out of the shower was causing the leak. Now, we do have an open shower, but the amount of water that splashes out is pretty trivial (a glistening on the tiles, never any standing water).
Anyway, he eventually left without doing anything besides clearing our shower drain and this cost us $350. Not only that, but then I had to call another plumber (Greg Vaughan Plumbing and Heating) and he, in less than an hour, found the source of the leak, fixed it, AND properly seated and sealed around the wobbly toilet, all for a reasonable $131 thanks to an Angie's List coupon.

Bob Lee and his partner/son, Chris, stopped by to look at the problem, free of charge, as a follow-up to major renovation work that they did during the spring 2014.  Their work is thorough; they are extremely thoughtful & competent, even making a great design suggestion along the way.  We had decided to oversee the overall bathroom renovations (new installation as well as complete makeover of original bathroom) and his help was essential to our builder (who was less familiar with an old house such as our's) and to us, in dealing with surprises and the inspectors.
On a day-to-day basis, for general plumbing work, too, Bob and his team is responsive and overall great; I regularly recommend their services.  Their cost is reasonable: not the cheapest but not the most expensive either.  In fact, I had more expensive plumbers for a few years but did not find them as responsive or as reasonable.  Bob is a great guy!

I cannot recommend Bob Lee enough!! Here's why:
- Responsive: We called him first thing in the morning with an emergency and, unlike the other plumbers and handymen I worked with in the past, he answered immediately! He said he can come in that same morning.
- On time: He was here within the time frame he stated.
- Professional: He explained everything that he was doing. Clearly, we didn't know what was going on and both he and his son, Chris, took their time to show us what went wrong. Checked and double checked after they fixed the leak. They were extremely polite and conscientious.
- Reasonable price: I had searched some other plumbers online before calling him and Bob's hourly rate is more reasonable than the other prices I saw.
Overall, they are a pleasure to work with. Very happy that we found a reliable plumber who we can call in the future.

They responded quickly to our phone call to inquire about hiring them to do the work. They arrived on time on the schedule day. When they discovered some pipes needing replacing, they called it to our attention and showed us where the problems were. The work was completed with no subsequent issues or concerns.
Lee's Plumbing had done the repairs in our prior home (apartment). They were always professional and courteous. That gave us great comfort in hiring them to work on our house. We know the owner, and he is a great guy.

Bob and his team did a great job for us. We are moving away from fuel oil in the house and needed to extract DHW production from the oil fired boiler. They did a great job, came on time and the price was as quoted. Bob also did an great job explaining the work to me. Bob is a nice and personable professional. We will be having him back for future work once the budget allows.

We've hired Lee Plumbing many times for various jobs ranging from drain cleaning to radiator replacements and help with leaks; the job described here was one of the larger ones we've had them do. Their guys are experienced and responsible, and Bob generally returns calls promptly.

We have had Lee's Plumbing do work on our home off and on for the last 3 years and they have done everything from replacing toilets to replacing water the water heater to fixing the furnace and we have ALWAYS been pleased with the service we have been provided.  Bob Lee (the owner) is a toss back to a time when people took pride in their work and weren't out to just nickel and dime you to death.  They are our "go to" people whenever anything goes wrong in the house and we trust them immensely.

Bob and his staff are extremely dependable and always act in a professional manner. The other thing that my husband and I appreciate is the fact that when we have ever asked for estimates, Bob always suggests ways in which we could save some money. That isn't the norm in today's world! We have always been extremely happy with their work and have their number on speed dial!

Before we called the plumber, our toilet had been rocking and we fixed it with a wooden shim underneath and sometime later it developed a small leak underneath. I called Lee's because I had used them before and they had done an excellent job. I was able to make an appointment that was convenient for me within a few days of when I called. The plumber arrived promptly. When he removed the toilet he found that the floor had settled around the pipe, so the toilet no longer fit flush with the floor (which is why it had been rocking previously). He gave me several options for fixing it, and we chose to have him file down the pipe to the floor level which was the most expensive but would be the most permanent fix. He did the work very carefully and professionally. He made sure to consult me at key steps to make sure I would be satisfied with the work. For example, he needed to put some shims and caulk on one side of the toilet because the floor is not level and he consulted me to make sure I did not mind the white color of the caulk. He cleaned up everything when he was done. I am very happy with the finished result. The toilet no longer rocks or leaks.
