Mass Stump and Tree Removal opened its doors in 1965, by owner Peter Tankis. Peter truly enjoys his work, he is an extremely knowledgeable, dedicated and hard working man who has been climbing and caring for tree’s in the Blackstone Valley area and beyond for years before opening his own company. Peter has two sons by his wife Judy Tankis, Nathan and Jordan, who he has been passing his extensive knowledge in fine tree care to for many years. Nathan has been working with Peter since the early 90’s and is a very knowledgeable and a skilled arborist. Jordan has been full time with the company since the late 90’s and as well as his knowledge in fine tree care, he is also a skilled climber and bucket operator. Judy has also played a large role in the company since its inception. From answering business calls to book keeping to providing meals and caring for the work crew on a daily basis as if they where family. Peter has built his business on the grounds of outstanding tree care, customer satisfaction and safety for his workers and clients alike. Peter has always held to the important belief that being fully insured to protect his clients and those working for him is of top priority.

Excellent. I was especially impressed by their precautions to limited the amount of damage that their equipment did to my lawn/property. They even brought in a remote-controlled boom lift that is lighter on the lawn to do less damage. Cool.

The team was prompt, professional, efficient and friendly! The tree removal seemed complex to me but the team handled it very well. They brought is special equipment to remove the trees and were very careful to complete the job with no damage to our property. After they were done they cleaned up and you could barely tell that the team had been there (except that about a dozen trees had been cut down!)

All completed with crew of 4 in one day, except the final cutting of tree trunks along driveway and stump grinding. That completed in 2 hours next morning. Came out right away to give estimate. 4 week wait to get scheduled. Called and came by night before to go over work. Excellent work, cleaned up well. Had small tracked vehicle with 50' bucket and another tracked vehicle to bring branches to chipper and move big logs. Put down plywood where the tracked vehicles would be making a turn on the lawn to prevent lawn damage. Were able to enter back yard through narrow gates. No unexpected added costs.

Mass Stump and Tree Removal was onsite at our home for a half day of work. Pete Tankis, Owner, was present to oversee and assist his crew. The job was done with efficiency, professionalism, attention to detail and in accordance with the Estimate Pete provided. Adjustments to the original planned work were made onsite and contributed to our overall high degree of satisfaction. We were especially impressed with Pete and crew taking the time to explain not only how they were going to carry out the planned work but why they were doing each phase of the job. Peter and his team could not have been better. They came out to take a look at the problem the same day I called, and were very upfront about price, when they could take the job and what we would need to do about a wire impacted by the tree before they could do anything. The job itself could not have gone more easily. Next time we have a tree issue, they will be our first call.

Overall we are very happy with the work performed. Peter was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. His crew was careful when moving their heavy equipment around our walkways and around the yard, always taking care not to damage anything. The work was done quickly and efficiently. The sun can finally hit the back of the house and we no longer have to worry about the next storm and if the old tree will make it. Couldn't be happier with their work. Wish we would have had it done sooner.

Service was amazing. They were the ONLY tree removal service that got back to me when I was initially looking. The tree I needed down was in a very awkward spot, but they were able to get it down quickly without any damage to the surrounding trees, and shipped it all away.

Mass Stump & Tree Removal surpassed my expectation of tree removal service. They were very careful on how they removed the trees and cleaned up everything. You would never know that they were even in my yard. If you are looking to have trees removed this is hands down the best crew. I would definitely use them again. Owner and employees were excellent to work with. Fast to get us quoted and scheduled. I will definitely hire them again for all my tree removal needs. Overall these guys are 5 out of 5 stars.

Great, Pete, Jordan, and their crew used an aerial man lift to safely remove an oak tree that was over 90' tall. The lift fit through a narrow opening in the fence and allowed them to take the tree down from the top so as not to damage any of the very close buildings. Very professional and reasonable.

I highly recommend MA Stump and Tree Removal. We needed 10 trees removed - three were over 100 ft tall and very close to the house. Peter came out and gave us an estimate of how much everything would cost which we agreed upon. ($3,200) They came within the week and did a great job. They are very careful with moving the equipment on the grass. They lower the trees down by ropes so there are no big holes left in yard. They piled all the wood off to the side of yard and did a great job cleaning up. I also asked if they could take a small tree down that wasn't in the estimate. They took care of the tree without charging extra. Very happy with their work and we would hire them again!
