They were the best contractors I've ever had. He explained everything. He was nice and respectful. They cleaned up afterwards. The crew was very hardworking and respectful also.

I am delighted with my new bathroom. I was very impressed with the knowledge and skill of Dennis and his crew. The job involved carpentry, plastering, plumbing and electrical. Dennis and his crew were respectful, courteous, and professional. They always showed up, on time. He also didn't nickle and dime us and the job was completed on budget. We only have one bathroom so it was a challenge but Dennis went the extra steps to have plumbing available as much as possible even though it meant extra work for him. I am so pleased that we have hired him for additional projects.

Over the course of the first 3 days scraping was somewhat tedious. The contractors told Dennis that the job would take longer than he initially anticipated therefore cutting into any profit he might make. Dennis then contacted me telling me he needed more money. All other estimates we received were for approximately $6000.00. Dennis totally lowballed the estimate to get the work and in the end renigued on his own contract. Not only did he jack up the price but refused to warranty the project because I wouldn't give him enough money. The contractors did a nice job on the house but it's already bubbling and peeling. We would have gone with a better known entity had we known. The summer before he doubled his price on another house in Sudbury. Dennis is one of the most unethical contractors and I strongly suggest avoiding his work if possible. After 3 months the paint is peeling and I have nowhere to go. Be careful, he does carpentry as well. Dand D is an outfit to avoid. Be wary.

"THIS CUSTOMER AGREED TO A CHANGE OF PLANS & THE SCOPE OF WORK THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. THEY SIGNED AN ADDENDUM TO THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT STATING THE FACTS OF THE CONDITION OF THIS POORLY KEPT HOUSE AND AGREED IT NEEDED A BETTER OVERHAUL OF THE EXTERIOR. THEY FORFEITED THEIR WARRANTY OF THEIR OWN FREE WILL BECAUSE AT THE TIME REALIZED THEIR HOMES EXTERIOR WAS IN POOR CONDITION, AND AGAINST MY ADVICE TO RE-SIDE COMPLETELY THEY CHOSE TO PAINT KNOWING THEY WOULD ONLY GET A SHORT LIFE OUT OF THE PAINT JOB. THEY TRIED TO SKIMP AND SAVE INSTEAD OF DOING THE RIGHT SCOPE OF WORK. THE HOUSE IS PEELING NOW BECAUSE THE OLD SIDING HAS A MOISTURE PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO BE STRIPPED, RE-SIDED & RE-PAINTED. THIS IS ANOTHER CLASSIC CASE OF A NEW ENGLAND HOMEOWNER THINKING THAT A PAINT JOB MAKES IT ALL BETTER AND THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO RE-PAINT AGAIN EVER - WRONG - DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND IT ISN'T MORE COSTLY IN THE END. HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE LEARNED A LESSON ABOUT BEING CHEAP!!! ALSO AS FOR YOUR FRIEND WHO HAD A FLAT RATE PAINT JOB, BUT IN THEIR CONTRACT THE CARPENTRY WAS AT AN ADDITIONAL COST. HE REQUESTED THE CARPENTRY, AGREED TO THE CARPENTRY, THE CARPENTRY WAS PERFORMED, HE PAID FOR THE CARPENTRY, END OF STORY. IF HE DIDN'T WANT TO SPEND THE MONEY THEN HE COULD HAVE SAID NO - HE SHOULD STOP CRYING ABOUT SOMETHING HE REQUESTED AND TAKE LESSONS FROM HIS WIFE WHO IS ONE OF THE NICEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! IN CLOSING IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR IT DON'T REQUEST IT, AND IF YOU DO REQUEST IT, AGREE TO IT, AND PAY FOR IT UPON COMPLETION, THEN DON'T MAKE AN ATTACK UPON SOMEONES PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL REPUTATION WITHOUT JUST CAUSE. GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE THAT HAS TO WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE IN THE FUTURE. I THINK THEIR SHOULD BE ANOTHER LIST THAT IS FOR CONTRACTORS TO LIST DEADBEAT, UNREALISTIC, IRRATIONAL & CHEAP CUSTOMERS SO THAT THERE CAN BE A CONTRACTOR BEWARE!!!"

I ORIGINALLY APPROACHED Dand D TO REPAIR SOME ROTTED WOOD ON MY HOME AND AS WE WALKED AROUND THE HOUSE DENNIS POINTED OUT ADDITIONAL AREAS OF WATER DAMAGE. HE HAD A CARPENTER REMOVE AND REPLACE THE WOOD IN THE ROTTED AREAS. DETAIL WORK WAS GOOD.
