A representative from Busy Dog inspected my basement and was very good explaining things. I felt a bit of pressure to sign up now "to take advantage of the special offer". I put $5,000 on my credit card as a down payment for the $10,000 job. To make a long story short I needed to cancel the work and notified them WITHIN 36 HOURS. The sales manager, or possibly owner, was very belligerent and abusive to me on the phone. He was laudably calculating how many days it had been since I signed the contract and was apoplectic when he realized it as within the three day grace period. He shouted at me asking WHY I'm not having this done. To shut him up I told him that I was unable to get the rest of the money out if my annuity at this time. He shouted at me "WELL, YOU HAD THE MONEY YESTERDAY!!!" Can you imagine that?! I said I had half the money and I don't need to tell you ANY reason for the cancellation. I didn't trust the verbal cancellation so I looked on the contract and it says to mail (take too long) the cancellation in or fax it. There was no fax number on the sheet! I ended up calling the salesman and faxed him and I did find a fax number on some website so I faxed it there as well. I faxed everywhere! Then it took weeks to get my money refunded. When ever I called I was given the runaround. Messages taken but never a call back. "Someone else" is handling it, etc. Finally when I said I as going to contact the attorney general's office did I get a response. I would NEVER do business with them as to me they have no integrity at all and only want the money. Even the salesman seemed intimidated by what the manager might do if the sale did not go through. I shudder ever time I think of that experience. The abusive and unethical behavior is unacceptable. Who with half a brain treats potential future customers that way? I will not be using them. Ever.

Job took way longer than expected and the price kept increasing. Rob hung around way too long to socialize vs. finishing the job to drag it out. One whole day of work was dedicated to his team assembling a table saw they needed vs. doing the actual project. Would definitely never hire again.

The workers showed up early, were friendly and professional. They got the job done quickly and didn't leave a mess. I was waiting until the first big storm before writing my review. It's come and gone and our garage is dry. The water is being pumped out before it reaches the surface. I'm hoping this finally solves the problem. So far so good.

They send a fancy sales person to sell you anything. The folks doing the work are not given correct information. They did not clean up and they took 2 days to finish. The work is awful. Said I would only need one sump pump but due to footing I will need another one to complete the water proofing. Would never have them back.  Stay clear of them. They will sell you anything

Overall the crew were a very nice group of young men.  They finally showed up on the prearranged date and began installation.  As nice as they were their skill level was very poor.  They were unable to maintain a straight line and areas where two membranes needed to meet were completely non-overlapping exposing the foundation wall.  I needed to explain the manufacturers recommended installation rules that clearly state that all seams must overlap by at least 6 inches.  They attempted to add caulk to the edges of the installation, but the application was a gobbed on mess.

The crew really are incredibly nice but the training and skill level are simply not there.

They were invited back to fix a tear in the membrane caused by other work.  At that time I gave them the chance to fix the grading in some locations.  They created a worse mess than had I left it as it was.  They destroyed cement and stucco work that had been done meticulously around the windows.

This is by far the worst workmanship I have ever seen.

Robb came out with the guys to show them what he had quoted and to get them started.  They got the job done quickly and they cleaned up really well.  A couple days later we noticed there was some leakage in the pipe that went from the sump pump to the wall, and Robb came right out and fixed it.  Overall I'd say we had a very good experience with Basement Solutions and would use them again if we need to.

They did a fantastic job. They were very professional and friendly. They showed up on time and did the work quickly. I had two rather large wooden shelving units that were screwed into the ceiling beams and they were too close to the walls for them to do their work. They spent the time to unscrew and move those shelving units for me so that I didn't have to, which was really nice of them to do. My water problems happened during the major storms of the spring of 2010 and I am sure they were inundated with calls, but they fit me in within a relatively short period of time (about a month) when other contractors I called were scheduling estimates out into the Fall. I'd definitely recommend these guys.

Contractor arrived when he was expected. Provided details on work to be performed, and did the work in a satisfactory manner. Left the work site free of rubbish.
