+ -1 moreHE HAD COME BY MY RESIDENCE AND EVALUATED THE CHIMNEY. HE TOLD US THE WORK WOULD TAKE A DAY AND A HALF AND COST $1450. WE AGREED. THE DAY HE CAME, HE SHOWED UP WITH ONE GUY AND I LEFT. THEY WORKED FOR 3.5 HOURS, AND THEN SAID THEY WERE DONE AND ASKED MY WIFE FOR PAYMENT. SHE WAS SURPRISED THAT THEY FINISHED SO QUICKLY, BUT SHE PAID THEM BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM THAT I HAVE HERE IS THAT I FEEL THIS GUY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF MY WIFE WHILE I WAS AWAY. WE ARE BOTH IN OUR 70'S AND WE FEEL LIKE WE'VE BEEN TAKEN. I CALLED HIM AND EXPRESSED THAT I DIDN'T FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH HIS FEE FOR THE TIME THAT WAS SPENT. I'VE HAD TWO CONVERSATIONS WITH HIM, AND I REQUESTED AN INVOICE THAT HE NEVER SENT.
Description of Work: HIRED HIM TO TUCKPOINT THE CHIMNEY TO RE-SEAL AND PREVENT LEAKING, ALSO INSTALL A CHIMNEY CAP.
