They did an amazing job on carpeting that is 14 years old on our stairs. They look like brand new and even were able to remove some stains we didn’t think would come out from our basement carpeting.

Rugs were 13 and 10 years old. Both rooms had various spots and stains (unidentifiable sources and dates....LOL). I cleared out EVERYTHING in each room (except the beds) the night before. Beds were removed in the morning. Joe came and did an excellent job....all spots and stains came up. Rugs look brand new. Great service but don't expect help with furniture removal or replacement (rugs took a good 4 to 5 hours to dry).

In regards to moving the furniture, we generally suggest that you remove any breakable items from the area to be cleaned and any small items that you can easily carry out of the room. Most of the time, there's enough space in the room to move the larger pieces from one side of the room to the other. This is easier and less strenuous than completely removing the furniture from the room. Just thought I'd let you know for next time! :)"

Excellent! Phil Lambert did a phenomenal job. I had low expectations because the carpets were so bad and he made them like new again. I was ecstatic and even my clients noticed how much cleaner they were!

They picked up and cleaned my rug offsite. They returned it two weeks later (after I called to get it back) and it smelled horrible! It was really, really bad. It smelled like a combination of vomit and mold. I tried to ignore it, but I called back a week later and asked them to clean it again. They did and returned it two weeks later (after I called several times), but the bad smell was only mostly gone and a chemical-like smell dominated. Plus, one edge of the rug was crusty for whatever reason. I wouldn't recommend this place, as the work was sub-par.

"Hello [Member Name Removed], We generally advise our area rug cleaning customers that the in-plant process, from pick up to delivery, takes approximately two weeks. I apologize if you weren't made aware of this. Often times vomit odor in a rug can intensify when it gets wet from cleaning. For this reason, when vomit or other biological contaminants are present on a rug, odor removal service is recommended. However, you declined this more costly restoration process. Without this process, odor removal can't be guaranteed. Nevertheless we returned not once but twice, in an attempt to remedy the unpleasant smell."

Joe really knows what he is doing! I am very pleased with the way my carpets and sofas look! They haven't looked that clean in a long time. I will definitely be calling Colonial Chem-Dry next year for an annual cleaning appointment.

The carpet looked fine for about two days, but it was an illusion. The carpet was fluffed up from the cleaning process and when it went back to normal, it didn't look any different than before it was "cleaned."

So I'm dismayed that the carpet cleaning didn't live up to your expectations. I only wish you had let us know right away so we would have had an opportunity to correct any shortcomings. As a service to our customers, my office staff calls a few days after the cleaning to solicit feedback. If we don't hear back, we assume everything is fine. Judging from your comments, it sounds like the carpets are matted due to age or sticky residues from soapy cleaning methods. Our cleaning process doesn't leave behind any sticky residues so once all of the existing residues are removed, the carpet will stay cleaner longer. Unfortunately, it's nearly impossible to rinse away all of the sticky residues in just one cleaning. Frequent vacuuming may help. I also recommend that you don't use any "home remedies". Products such as Resolve and Woolite can exacerbate the matting."

The Colonial Chem-Dry technician phoned ahead of arrival, measured all rooms, explained all options and quoted a price which was less than the initial estimate. He moved the remaining heavy furniture as required and paid particular attention to the stains. These never cleaned eight year old carpets now look like new. Highly recommended.

Everything went well from start to finish. The project was explained at the outset and proceeded in a timely manner. The carpets looked much better after a good cleaning and the dogs were able to be back on them in a couple of hours. I moved the furniture back the next day and I'm pleased with the result.

The workman and job was handled professionally and on time. The coupon we used was for three rooms. The promo coupon was limited to 150 sf per room which was not disclosed or not seen and there was a price adjustment due to room size Still, the amount paid was fine because we were able to get the job completed within two days.

The serviceman was incredibly professional, accommodating, and thorough. They completely removed all the odor and saved our year-old carpet. They also followed up to make sure all was completed to our satisfaction. It was a little pricey, but also a tough job. Overall it was worth it- a fair price for high quality service.

I don't believe they did a good job at all. They used chemicals to clean the carpets. I got them through Angie's List. They used a dry chemical they put on the carpeting. The washed it up with some water. They didn't clean in my mop boards and they didn't clean in my bed. They didn't move any furniture if I haven't moved it. The man was pleasant and polite. I didn't notice it right away. Within two months, the stains appeared again.
