 + 0 moreIn general, the work they do is adequate. Nothing especially outstanding or difficult in scope. However, the work is EXTREMELY personnel-dependent. I have had workers show up for the wrong job on the wrong day, I have also had workers shrug and leave with a job incomplete suggesting that I might finish it myself. And, I have had workers suggest work-arounds on repairs that saved hundreds of dollars. Which arrives at the last problem, M.T. Cavanaugh quotes prices that are well beyond reasonable for the market. The last furnace repair required was quoted as costing over $1000, however my fuel provider performed the same repair for under $300 (2 technicians working for about 1 hour and parts). My recommendation is: do your homework and shop around if you can.
Description of Work: M.T. Cavanaugh serves as general plumbing and heating contractor for my residence. They do general furnace service and plumbing repair. In general, they are one of the (if not the) largest contractor of this sort in the area and, in some ways, the only game in town. As such, while I will undoubtedly hire them again, it is only grudgingly that I do so.
