Top Notch Bath Refinishing

The company was hired to respray a bathtub, in the main bathroom and a sink and a shower in a second bathroom. The work was completed in a day and took a couple of days to dry. After that I used the shower exclusively until early July when I hurt my back and needed to lie down in hot water in the bathtub. That was when I discovered that the entire surface was covered in small hard bumps making it feel like sandpaper. I rubbed my hand over the surface of the shower and the small sink which I don't use frequently and discovered the same problem. I gave the company an overall rating of 1. However, it's not entirely accurate if this also measures their responses to my complaint because I haven't had any direct contact with the company, only with Angi.

We found Top Notch Bath Refinishing on Angi, and requested a quote via Angi. Rafael was quick to respond in order to provide a quote and book the business, but after he had done the work, he was dismissive when we called back to address concerns we raised (Rafael re-glazed our bathtub in July 2023). He did a good job reglazing the tub and it looks nearly new (although a very small amount of the textured material on the floor of the tub seems to have ended up on the top edge), but not with the bead of sealer around the tub, between the tub and tile. Within a week, the sealer was pulling away from the edge between the tub and tile, creating pockets for moisture to seep in. It made the nice work he did on the tub itself look unfinished and messy, and we were concerned that we will have issues with mildew and moisture in the near future. We called Rafael back, as soon as we realized we had an issue, to ask him to come back to redo the sealer, but he brushed us off, and he has never come back to address our concerns. Now we will have to redo the sealer ourselves (which we thought we would do after he left, but realized that we did pay a reasonable amount of money to have him do this as part of the job). We requested the quote from Top Notch Bath Refinishing via Angi, but Rafael did not book the job via Angi, so Angi would not help us to resolve the issue. Another lesson learned, to be sure the job is booked via Angi, to get that added guarantee on the job.

Rafael was professional and communicative about the task of refacing a bathtub. Fair estimate for the work. Completed the tub, looks brand-new. Would definitely hire again.

Very happy with the work Top Notch did. I had two bathrooms refinished by them, and they now look brand new. The quote was reasonable, they arrived on time and complete the work quickly and to a very high standard,

person that did the job was on time and carried all equipment needed to cover floors and walls where work was preformed. He finished the job in about 2.5 hrs. only thing was he did not have a bill with him but he emailed it following day

They did not stand behind their work, and they refused to return to re-glaze a sink that they had glazed that had cracked. They were rude and yelled at me over the phone when I asked them to help me with the cracked sink. They also did not provide me with any kind of email conformation of their work with a guarantee or an official receipt of their work. They are completely unprofessional. After doing my work, they had accepted a large job in New Hampshire and ignored me because I am in Boston and they did not want to come into Boston. The Glazing of the tubs is inferior, it is not smooth and has already gotten dull. The quality of the work that they provide is totally unsatisfactory.

The team at Top Notch did an amazing job reglazing our bathroom shower. They showed up on time and were able to get the job done in a timely manner. They left the place spotless and answered all questions for us.

I have recently retired from the contracting business and I know fine work when I see it. Frank of Top Notch arrived right on the dot of the agreed upon time, carefully protected our floors, and proceeded to make our 1946 master bathroom tub look like new. I'm so pleased that we've hired him to come back to refurbish the tile grout in the master bath.

Colum, showed up before agreed time, was extremely personable and his work was beautiful. the experience was far better than expected. Would recommend him to anyone.

Be sure to remove all bath / shower hardware before spraying. I assumed the latch and bath spout would be removed prior to spraying, but they only taped it off, yet they removed the shower head and cover plate. Overall, it came out good and they did a nice, clean job. Highly recommend reglazing to save $ on a complete demo and new tub / tile, if overall bathroom is in good shape.

The owner is very polite, calls you the night before to conrifm the job and time. He came ind ids his work (great job) cleaned up and the price was so reasobable, we paid him extra.. he worked hard for it. Very trust worthly. Very professional. This is our firist time using Home adviser and what a great experience,as this was excatly what we were looking for... He regrouted our bathroom shower time and seat.. Looks amazing.... We highly recommend this compand and I would use him again and I woudl recommend to my family and friends.
