I contacted All Seasons Insulation through Angie's List on 1/16/13.
They called me on 1/22/13 and setup an appointment for 1/25/13.
Jim Breakey arrived at the scheduled time on 1/25/13. He was very thorough inspecting the attic and asking questions. I had just had mold removed from my attic. This was due to warm moist air getting into the attic area. Jim assured me that the main issue was the flow of warm air and that cellulose insulation does a good job of stopping the air flow. He further convinced me that it was not necessary to do an air seal test as some of the other estimates had suggested. He also stated that he was qualified to do the air seal test but it wasn't necessary in my case. He also pointed out that my cap had big gaps in it and that was one source of the air flowing into the attic. He said I should fix it immediately with some weather stripping. I took his advice and for about $10 I noticed less of a draft in my upstairs hallway. After the inspection of the attic Jim did a good job of presenting his certifications, licenses, insurance, and graphics concerning my problem and the proposed solution. I wanted a quality job so price was not the biggest factor in my decision. However, I was pleasantly surprised when his estimate was about half of my other estimates. Especially, interesting that he uses the same cellulose company that the other companies were using. He said that they are cheaper because it is a 2 person company so they have a very low overhead. I agreed to hire them and scheduled for installation for 2/5/13.
On 2/5/13 Jim and his partner arrived as schedule. Upon examining the attic they determined that the current insulation was too wet. It was determined this moisture was from the mold removal process. So, I was to call them when the attic was dry enough to do the job. On the one hand, a little disappointed that I had to wait but on the other hand very grateful that they had the honesty to not do the job until the conditions were right.
Eventually, the attic was dry and scheduled the job for 4/5/13. Jim and his partner arrived as schedule. They were very transparent in the process. They showed me all the prep work they did. They showed me the cellulose they were using, the process for breaking the cubes down into the blown material. They let me watch the process of blowing the cellulose into the attic. The whole process took about 4 hours from start to finish. They were very careful in setup and did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards. Even though the temperatures haven't been that cold since the insulation I can definitely tell the difference in lack of drafts and how the house could go days with the heat turned off.

Requested a quote from All Seasons and one of the owners Jim got back to me and setup an appointment to look at the job and give me an estimate. When Jim arrived, he checked out the attic and above the breezeway so he could give us a quote on adding an additional 8and quot; of cellulose insulation to bring the R value to approximately 45. Jim then went through and explained the type of cellulose they use, a copy of his insurance and also let me know that they are a small company and either himself or the other owner are on all jobs with one helper that they also employ. Jim was also helpful in giving additinal advice on other areas of the house we could make improvements on with regards to saving energy. After Jim finished he was able to give me an estimate right then and there which I found reasonable. I had gotten 2 other quotes and they were approximately 3 -4 times the amount Jim quoted, but to be fair the other companies were advising to do air sealing and add additional 2and quot; fiber board to areas in the attic that were framed for a cathedral ceiling in the bedroom. After speaking with Jim, I felt comfortable that the job he was going to do, would greatly improve my heat loss at a fair price. I agreed to go with All Seasons and we setup an appointment to get the job done. The job was completed as promised and I'm extremely satidfied with the outcome. I would not hesitate to recommend All Seasons.

Wanted to save money on my energy bills, so I decided to have my house fully insulated. This was the first company I contacted and when speaking with James Breaky, I had him come out to give me an estimate. He was friendly, professional, thorough and I felt very comfortable with him and the estimate he gave me and I hired him on the spot. I have vinyl siding, so work could not be done until the weather warmed up. He called me a couple of months later to set up a time to come out. When weather became an issue he called me to reschedule weather permitting. They arrived when they said would and the job was completed the same day. My house was noticeably warmer that same day and has been ever since. I should have done this sooner. Can't wait for the summer to see how much money I will save on air conditioning costs. I would highly recommend this company.

This company was very professional and we can already feel the difference this winter in our house. They submitted the rebate form to Keyspan promptly so we received our Keyspan rebate (over $400) in a timely manner. The only minor issue we had was that it appears when they probed the walls, they may have dislodged or cut the wiring to our two doorbells. If you have this kind of insulation done, be sure to check all doorbells and external lighting fixtures as soon as the job is completed, and let the workers know immediately. Overall we were very satisfied with this contractor and highly recommend All Seasons Insulation.
