We are in the process of buying our first home, and had a question about some foundation settling. Our home inspector said it looked like typical settling for a house from the 50s, as did another contractor who looked at it (who wasn't great, and spent all of 5 minutes looking at it). A friend of mine recommend Dan Philpot to come by and take a proper look at it. Right off the bat Dan was incredibly friendly, responsive, professional, and completely above-board. When asked about licensing and insurance Dan offered to email over all of his credentials immediately, as well as physically bring them over if we wanted.
Dan and one of his employees (I forget his name, but he was younger, friendly, and also very knowledgeable) showed up early for our appointment. They both spent around 45 minutes looking at our foundation, sills, floors, and the general structure of the home. He then took the time to explain why he felt we had no serious issues, and made sure that we were satisfied with the explanation. He also went above any beyond by answer a lot of other general questions about renovation and various materials in our home.
Overall dealing with D.W. Philpot Company was excellent. I will absolutely be using him in the future, and will recommend him to my friends and family.
