Mr. Scott arrived promptly for our appointment. He recommended how to clear the backyard edge and relandscape. He also had a nice suggestion for an area next to the proposed walkway. I still needed time to decide what materials to use for the final design in both projects. Thanks Mr. Scott for your time!

Robert Scott is a pleasant guy, quite upbeat, positive outlook. We choose his company over the othersbecause he promoted an alternative method to improve the drainage around the foundation. Whereasthe other contractors simply agreed with our requested method, he described how his method would be abetter and longer lasting solution.
His ability to sort of propose alternative solutions versus just accepting our request was a positiveaspect.
He picked up the initial work deposit payment in late April 2012. The start of the work was delayed considerably because of the rains we experienced in late April and early-to-mid May. His crew showed up the week before Memorial Day and they worked their butts off getting all the tasks done by late in the afternoon on Friday before the Memorial Day long weekend.
On the down side, Robert evidently failed to remember some of the details about how we wanted theretaining wall "stepped down". The result was that they had to order more concrete/stone product.Evidently Robert also does not communicate *everything* to his job foreman, which was a concernfor us. Thankfully, the foreman was an skilled mason/craftsman and after listening to our description, figured out a solution to a problem related to mating the concrete block to our field stone foundation.
Also, after the job was done, we noticed a bit of a "run out" for the last couple of cap stones. Thesewere noticeably angled out over the driveway and not in line with the rest of the caps. Robert and oneof his crew came by to review and fixed the problem.
In conclusion, Robert Scott is the amiable salesman (although he can drive the Bobcat), and his crew are really the ones that make things happen. Overall very good job.

Rob has been with me since the Spring of 2009. Overall I've been satisfied with the work his men have done. At the end of last season I told him that there were several bare patches that his equipment had caused, and asked that they be re-seeded. That request went unanswered. The lack of timely responses (to email) is frustrating. I'm accustomed to working with people who respond within 24 hours.

Went very well. No problems at all. They were doing a huge masonry and landscaping job on a neighbor's property, which came out very nice.
