They have done a ton of stonework for me. I've used them for several years. The guy is very talented. I like him but when a guy says he will come on a Tuesday, I expect them here. He was due to do another job last week to take some bushes. He didn't come when he was supposed to and I called and he said that he was taking his girls on vacation. I said that I didn't care and did he remember our conversation and he said he would come out on Tuesday morning. Tuesday came and went. I called and left a message. He called right back and said he decided to stay an extra day. I told him I would find somebody else for my backyard work. He should have called and told me. I've used him for a good many years cutting the lawn. I paid him over $6000 for the year and that didn't include the cutting. I pay as soon as he finishes a job. I want to be treated like he would want to be treated. He does excellent work and I like him but he is treading on thin ice with me now. There is no question that he is talented. My issue is business-wise.

It is going fabulous. This is a big area, they literally had to dig out a huge section of ties. They are doing it very well and are definitely able to handle it. I think that they are very professional and qualified. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

He put loom all over where I wanted it. I watered it every day. As time went on, I found pieces of plastic and different debris. Grass wasn't growing, but weeds were. 95% of the lawn in the places he seeded is weeds.
When I called to tell him, he argued over the phone and wouldn't let me even speak so I hung up. He then called back and continued to argue. He did not offer to remedy the problem. At this point I told him that I didn't want him to do my lawn work anymore.
After this, we had a rain storm and the weeds are now thicker and taller. I've spent a lot of money on weed spray to try to kill all of the weeds.
My lawn is ruined and looks terrible.

"Unfortunately, we are unable to come to an agreement with this customer. The homeowner has violated the contract. I simply asked the homeowner on numerous occasions to not use the weed killer and to please work with me and give the new grass time to grow. I also went into great depth about what can happen if the homeowner used the weed killer. I did advisor her that weed killer should not be used until the 3rd lawn cut and if the homeowner did use the weed killer that it would kill any of the new seedlings or seeds that did not fully geminate. A new lawn takes at least 10 full weeks with weather permitting. Lawn simply just will not grow in 4 weeks especially with all the rain and cloudy skies that we have encountered. By the homeowner using the weed killer on the 4th week it killed any of the new grass seedlings from germinating and violated our contract. Weed Killer is a poison and when this is done it cannot distinguish the difference between weeds and new seedlings and therefore ends up killing everything in and around the area. After the homeowner did this the loam has now been poisoned and will not be able to get anything to grow in the loam for at least 4-6 weeks. I apologies that this is the outcome I did try to do what I could to help this customer. I simply cannot be responsible for something that the homeowner did. I fully warranty all my new lawns for 1 year as long as the homeowner follows the contract. Unfortunately, the contract was violated by the homeowner and now this outcome."

The snow removal was fine. He plowed the driveway and went above and beyond in one storm, using a snow blower to remove a large drift blocking the garage.
Getting the quote to replace the front stoop didn't go as well. After waiting nearly 2 months I still don't have a quote. I followed up with him and he apologized, but I still never got that quote.

All they did was plow my driveway, didn't plow in front of my mailbox and left snow in front of my garage. I had to shovel this myself. He came back and I explained my concerns, he said that he had hired his nephew. Jay is a nice guy but I am unsure if I will use him for my landscaping needs in the Spring. I am now unsure if the work will be done right based on the employees he has doing the work.

Our cleanup scheduling was interrupted by Hurricane Sandy, but Ray was pleasant, responsive, and included branch and limb cleanup in his service at no additional charge. He came back to complete a 2nd round of leaf cleanup after the storm and the yard looks great.

Overall it went well, there are a few spots on the new lawn that didn't come up as well as others, but that is to be expected with lawn seed. I am sure by next spring that portion of the lawn will be full. It has stayed green since it came up and looks much better than it did before. Overall Ray did a wonderful job!

They came and plowed and were responsible and accountable. I found their prices reasonable.
