After having various problems prior to hiring Dan, it has been a pleasure to know that we have no worries and that Dan is always a phone call or text away if questions arise. Actually, very few questions ever arise!

let us start with the good, the leaves were gone , can;t deny that ..they were gone, down to the grass. significantly higher than the on phone estimate of about $400 4 people showed up at $65 and hour. one guy spend a 1/2 hour to 45 minutes un-bagging my neighbors leaves and putting them on the truck .So I paid $35-$50 to have leaves that were all set and not mine processed for no reason. I mention this and was told it would not really effect my bill, well that is not true , I got billed for this guy .Then paid to have them taken away. I would have stopped him, had I saw him doing this, but thought that it was not necessary to point out the that bagged leaves at the side of street are all set,

The team did a terrific job with a challenging leaf cleanup. The yard has many trees that shed a large volume of leaves in many hard to get at spots. All areas were cleaned thoroughly and the yard looked terrific. Also included in the work was gutter cleanup. This was the first job we have had with Dan and we plan to have more work done by his team.

Dan worked with me for quite a while beforehand on design, and had a lot of really great ideas about how to address specific problems and plant choice. He also made a number of recommendations for how best to maintain it going forward. He was able to work within our budget, and even did a few extras (such as creating a planting bed around our mailbox) simply because he wanted the end result to look as nice as possible.

 I have included 4 pictures from before and 6 from after -- Angie's doesn't let me add captions or order them, so the hideous ones are from before the project and the great-looking ones are from after.

 I highly recommend Dan and his team. One of our primary reasons for doing the work was for curb appeal -- we knew we would be selling our house within a year or two. When we put our house on the market earlier this summer it sold in 3 days! Dan deserves a good chunk of the credit for that because the outside looked beautiful! Dan was the first person I called about maintaining the landscaping at our new house.

I called Dan the Lawn Man to get a quote for edging and mulching my four beds. The owner, Dan, called me back the same day. We didn't connect right away, but he returned both of my calls. He came to my house on the agreed upon date, and I had my quote in less than 24 hours. Dan's price was very reasonable, so I hired him. I was looking to get this work done on a day where I was going to be home. He squeezed me in to accommodate my schedule. He told me his guys would be at my house around 9am on June 1. They didn't get to my house until 11:45am, however, I didn't actually expect them to come right at 9am because of the nature of the business. So, this time still worked for me. I requested brown mulch and the guys brought reddish brown because they couldn't get the brown. I told them I didn't want that color and that I would take black mulch if they couldn't get the brown. They offered to drop off the reddish mulch to another customer and they went to get the black mulch for me. I left to run some errands and returned two hours later. When I got back, my yard was completely done and looked fabulous! I definitely would use Dan the Lawn Man in the future!

Dan arrived promptly to look at our yard for the estimate.  He is very knowledgeable and had great suggestions.  We have numerous garden areas that have not had professional attention for at least five years.  We were happy with his estimate and reviews on Angie's List.  We were also having a celebration at the house and he promised to have the work done in time.
Dan let us know when the crew would arrive.  They got there early in the morning and worked until dark.  They completed the job the next morning.  They were very pleasant to work with and did a terrific job.  Several of my neighbors commented on how wonderful everything looked and one asked Dan for an estimate.
An A rating isn't high enough for how happy I am with all that Dan and his crew did.

Dan and his crew are excellent.  The lawn always looks great when they are done.  The same goes with their snow plowing.

We were planning to have our front walkway replaced in late October or early November. I asked Dan if he could arrange the early cleanup prior to the walkway work and concrete pouring since the walkway is adjacent to the plantings in the front yard. He said no problem and arranged for the guys to appear earlier than usual to help. One of the best and consistent things about Dan is that he always responds to our needs and adjusts his calendar work schedule to do so. We really value that and the quality of someone who really does stand behind his work. That's all too rare today and we are glad to continue to have Dan do all of our yard maintenance and snow removal needs. We hope Dan will be with us for a long time!

Based on positive reviews on AL, I called on Friday and agreed that Dan would come Sunday afternoon.  On Sunday his wife called to confirm, and an hour later he was there ready to rock and roll.  We agreed on a price which was fair if not low.  He and his assistant got right to work.  They cleaned the area perfectly in 45 minutes, even blowing leaves out from my front porch while he was at it.  I'll be calling him again when the rest of my leaves have fallen.  Good recommendation AL.  If you're reading this Dan, you can come and put a sign up on my berm if you want.

I had my front and back yard hydroseeded in the Spring. No grass grew in the back yard except weeds. I was so disappointed with the out come and tired of looking at the ugly yard. The prior contractor left me in the dust.
In September as I was looking through the Angie's List magazine, I came across Dan's ad and decided to give him a call.
Dan is true to his word. Both he and his crew are very professional. The quality of the work product is excellent.
Dan and his crew went over and above what the contract called for. They also put new fresh mulch on the existing flower beds that I already had in place. Even after completing the job, Dan stopped by to see how everything was progressing and welcomes any questions or concerns that I may have. I highly recommend him and would use his services again.

We needed to put our house on the market as soon as possible and we needed a high quality yard cleanup, and fast!  Dan was incredibly responsive.  We called him on a weekend, and he responded to us promptly on Sunday night, then he came out to our house on Tuesday to discuss the scope of work, sent us a proposal on Wednesday morning, and arranged for a crew to come on Thursday to do the work.  His crew spent nearly the entire day at our house (going beyond the hours that we were billed for) in order to do a high quality job.  The results were spectacular:  neighbors stopped us in the street to say how beautiful our yard looked, and to comment on how hard Dan's crew had worked during that day, and our broker was incredibly pleased with the results.  We would highly recommend Dan for any yard project.

Don was very responsive to my inquiry for fence repair. He came out right away, looked at the job, did some labor calculations and provided me with an accurate price range. He was also very prompt in getting the work done. Ultimately everything he said he would do - in terms of service and  schedule - he did and beyond. He and his guys cleaned up very nicely and even planted new grass around the fence posts so that it would look like like new.
After the workers had left and I came home and saw the job, I was delightfully impressed - but still had a quick question. Don said he could come by that same night to talk to me and he did.

Showed up as scheduled, responded well to feedback. Currently waiting for some additional maintenance work to be done. Anticipate the quality will be good based on our experience so far.

On Jan 15, 2015 I fell and fractured my right arm. I knew I would not be able handle my snow blower for the rest of the season. I had used Dan in the past and contacted him and asked if he would take me on as a snow removal customer that late in season. He did so willingly, and in what would later prove to be the worst year for snow in local history kept my driveway and garage passable for the entire season. It was a difficult task, nobody could have done better.

Because of his great performance through the winter, in March I became a monthly customer. Spring clean-up was delayed from its usual time because the snow refused to go away, but soon as it was possible, Dan's crew did the clean-up, edged and mulched my flower beds and had my yard looking good. We had a little bump in the road with the first lawn mowing following the clean-up which was somewhat less than perfect. Dan worked diligently to determine what the problem was and resolve it, so the next cut was perfect.

Unlike many contractors, Dan is a good communicator, so you always know what is going on. He has my highest recommendation.
