Five years ago when I was declared cancer free, one of my customers gave me a charm, that is suppose to bring me good luck. After going thru what I did, I was open to anything that may help change my fortune. I did not remove this charm from a neck for 5 years, and one day it just fell off. The ring the held the charm to the rope had rotted and broke. Now this charm is probably not worth crap, but to me has a great deal of meaning. Things for me got better the day this was put on, I have remained cancer free for 5 yrs now, started a business, which is growing and doing well, my kids are doing better, my wife and I are doing better, so the charm has a great deal of sentimental meaning to me. It took to several jewelers to try to get it repaired, and was basically laughed at. Like I said the charm has no value to anyone but me and it was very important to me to get repaired. Thinking it would never get repaired a neighbor of mine told me to try Bernard's, so desperate, I gave them a shot. When I brought the charm in, the beautiful woman behind the counter asked what I needed. I showed her the charm and explained my story. She very much understood what this charm means to me, but wasn't sure if it would be able to be repaired. Already being happy that she took the time to listen to me and to look at the piece, I left it with her, so they could figure something out. I received a call a couple days later asking me to come in, I did. She explained how the charm would not take a wield or solder, and asked about drilling a small whole in it and that would give them something to attach a new ring on. Being desperate I said whatever you can do would be much appreciated. I left again this time with not much hope. A couple weeks go by and I get call letting me know the piece is ready for pick up. I went in the next day to pick up the charm, not having much hope, but dam, when I was shown the piece I was absolutely blown away. Not only was it repaired but there is no drill hole I can see, and the piece looks a thousand times better than when I first brought it in. What use to look like a cheap two buck charm, now looks like an elegant piece of jewelry. It has a new rope, a better ring to attach it, and a new clasp that I don't have to worry about coming undone. I am so absolutely thrilled, I put back around my neck and knowing how great it looks and that it will be there for a very long time to come. Thank you so very much, I so greatly appreciate you taking the time to fix something that has no real value to anyone but me. I am not a big jewelry person, but I will say, my wife will be getting many presents that will be purchased from these guys. They took the time and care to help me when others basically laughed at me, if I didn't have a jeweler before I do now. Thank you very much!!!
