MIKE CORREIA ROOFING

This was the third time since August 2007 that Mike has been to my mothers house to repair her roof. The first time was a complete replacement of her roof and the second was to repair the ridge line. Today he repaired the ridge line again after a wind storm and I went to her house to discuss the warranty he provided. The documentation my mother has states in Mikes own writing that his work is guaranteed for ten years. Today he was initially going to charge her 250 dollars for a job that took no more than 15 minutes. When she showed him the documentation he said he would charge only $150, but no contractor would guarantee work in wind gusts of 65 miles an hour. When I pointed out that he stated no exclusions on his guarantee he said he was sorry for not including it. I also called my own contractor and confirmed that although most contractors will not cover major acts of nature like hurricanes the roof should have been fine in the wind storm we had if the work had been done properly. She paid him, because she needed the roof fixed. My complaint is that he has already had to repair the same thing once before which means it wasn't installed or repaired correctly and he does not honor the guarantee that he wrote in his own handwriting.
