BEWARE!! Bad experience over all. The guy that came out for our consultation had zero customer service skills and just kept yesing my questions not even hearing what the heck I was asking. The office MANAGER was even worse to deal with. Anytime we spoke she didn’t remember a thing about my situation and I’d be constantly repeating myself. When I never heard back from her the multiple times she said she’d get back to me I’d be the one having to call her back! She kept putting all and any blame on me and my family even though we did everything to make sure we could afford to have these people come out to replace the things in our house. At the end of the day almost 2 months have gone by and she of course never gave her manager the message to call me back or that manager is just as bad as her and never called me. They lost $9,000+ from me and my family to have our AC and furnace replaced and I honestly feel so bad for anyone that has to deal with these people. I would never recommend and always tell people to stay away from this business.

Got it going, fixed the problem

The plumber came in and got right to work. He diagnose the issue right away and confirmed with tech support that it was indeed the issue. He corrected the issue and I havent had to reboot my heater every time I've needed hot water like I've had two for the past 2 months

Service rep was GREAT - professional and very knowledgeable. There was a communication issue with the type and model unit so I had to call back and verify a second trip down but minor issue. They came back a second day and after servicing it, she runs like brand new. I purchased a separate fresh-aire, mini UV (blacklight system) from Amazon and after cleaning the unit the rep installed it for a reasonable fee. THESE are my annual AC system cleaning guys from now on. Remember the price I paid also included installing that Mini-split UV Blacklight.

They showed up first thing in the morning (like he promised) and did the work quickly and at a great price. I will definitely call them again when I need a plumber.

Days before Christmas my gas burner stopped sending heat to my first level. I did not know a professional to call and turned to Angie's List and read the reviews for this company. I received an appointment within 3 days of calling. Jim arrived, tested and diagnosed the problem, a burned out valve zone motor. He made sure I understood the problem and what needed to replaced to get the heat back on. Jim was very helpful, offered an appreciated suggestion to replace my vintage Honeywell thermostats. The Company charges the diagnostic fee of $160.00 plus the actual cost to repair which I find reasonable and fair. I recommend this company.

We hired Jim Dorsey & Son to replace our old HVAC unit. They were not the cheapest option but you definitely pay for what you get and they over delivered. The team was very responsive and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. We would definitely hire them again and strongly recommend Jim Doresy & Son.

Josh Dorsey gave me a very reasonable and competitive quote, and I really liked what he had to say about the equipment that I needed and the installation process. He did a heat load calculation and figured precisely what size equipment I need for my house. Because I have hired his company to essentially replace all my mechanical systems, he gave me a nice "special package" discount, which I really appreciated. He also added a free Wifi thermostat. The installation was done promptly when scheduled, the team was clean, and highly respectful and professional. They have tested all systems after installation and the quality of work has exceeded my expectations. The company has a lot of experience with the MassSave program, and Josh was able to walk me through every step of the process, from loan approval to the rebate submission. This is very reassuring and convenient. Dorsey and son is official Amana dealer, and the only official Rinnai dealer in the area, and that is the equipment we had installed. I definitely recommend this company, and will use them again when plumbing or heating/cooling needs arise. The picture speaks for itself!

It took maybe an hour to an hour and a half. There were 2 people. They were professional. I think they should let people know upfront that they said they charge by the job, not by the hour. It didn't matter if finding the leak took 10 minutes or 10 hours.

The plumbers were excellent.  They took their time and did a thorough job, which I appreciated very much.  They also gave me a 25% off coupon to be used for a future service.  They previously came to my father's house on Christmas Eve, to look at the propane fireplace, as it was not igniting.  I really appreciated this.

We called on a Tuesday and he was at our home on that Thursday.  He arrived on time, explained how they priced their work, their guarantee and then did the work. He was very professional and pleasant.  There was no mess.  We were very pleased with the job.

I wanted to remove the drain cover because it was making the tub drain really slowly. He completed the job within about ten minutes, so it was a very easy job. They are very pricey, and I wouldn't use them again.

i contacted several contractors. Josh Dorsey was the first to respond. he came out to the house the following day and i had a written estimate within a day. I had to pursue other contractors to get them to respond. Comparing Dorsey's price to the other prices i obtained, i found them to be a bit on the high side, but i considered how they responded to the estimate process and thought they would be worth the extra money. I was right. I signed the contract, gave them a deposit and scheduled the job.
On the first day, they showed up exactly on time - 4 trucks and a crew of 8 technicians. I left for work and when i returned, all of the radiators had been removed (its a big house with some very large radiators). other than the missing radiators, you never would have known they were there. They left the house cleaner than when they got there. This was the same each day. at the end of the week, they arranged to have the gas connected and i was up and running. I didn't really have a chance to appreciate the job until this winter. my house has been comfortable, my heating costs are a fraction of what i was paying. i no longer have to supplement with using the pellet stove (anyone want to buy it?). they even hooked up a new gas cooktop - not part of the original quote, but they didnt charge extra for it. 
when the temp dropped below zero recently, i had a pipe freeze up. they came out, thawed out the line and didnt charge me for it.
they are by far, the best, most professional contractor i have ever dealt with. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a heating contractor.
 

I arranged for plumbers to come to the house to give us quotes for installing central air. Josh Dorsey showed up just ahead of his committed time. He explained just what he proposed to do, gave me a ballpark quote and told me that he'd follow up with a written quote. A couple of days later I received the quote in an e-mail. It matched the original ballpark figure. On the day of installation the crew showed up on time. They took a few minutes to devise their strategy and started in.The crew worked all day and by 4:00 the AC was running. I've had several jobs done by Dorsey now and I've never been disappointed. They know what they're doing and they operate the business ethically.
