DaSilva Home Improvement did a wonderful job siding a ranch house that I own and rent in Braintree. It had been too many years since the exterior had received fresh paint or enough care. There was work that needed to be done; replace two windows, repair front corner of the house which had rotted through, etc. The house looked sad. Tony gave me an initial quote and updated me whenever he found a problem that needed attention. He was always up front about the work and the cost. He and his crew were thorough, professional and cleaned up all debris, etc. once the house was completed. The house looks great! The only problem was that he had to wait almost 2 weeks for the building dept. to issue a permit: very slow response from the city. Next year I intend to update the kitchen at that house, and Tony will be the contractor that I call. His pricing is fair (senior discount) and the quality of workmanship in topnotch.

I hired them to do a bathroom project for me a few years ago. Things went well and I was happy with their work. Recently I called them to measure for countertop and estimate. Was also going to have them do some finish work in kitchen. I spoke to Tony on the phone two times and set up two different times for him to come over. He blew me off both times. No call, no show. My husband stayed home on his day off all morning waiting for him and he never came. Won't use him again and wouldn't recommend him seeing that he couldn't have even bothered to call to reschedule.

Tony and his nephew did an excellent job. I am so pleased with their work. They were prompt, professional and even cleaned up after themselves. I am recommending them to all my neighbors.

Tony was prompt and scheduled the service on a Saturday to get it done ASAP. The job was done in less than a day and the price was very competitive based on my standard three quote process. The siding looks great, was done professionally and promptly. i would definitely work with Tony again in the future...as a matter of fact I have a call out to him already to do some more work I was so impressed with him and his team.

Tony responded immediately to my request for an estimate. He performed the repair in a timely manner. He was always here when he said he would be. He communicated with me by phone and e-mail as necessary.  He demonstrated a complete knowledge of up to date construction requirements. Tony  explained to me, in terms that I could understand, what the problems were had how he would repair them.   He worked neatly and always left my home clean.  He demonstrated all aspects of complete professionalism. I felt that his price was excellent for the work that he did.  I highly recommend him and will hire him again.

He was excellent. He was rated an "A". He was close by the home. He was prompt. He called when he was not able to come out. He was very thorough, cleaned up after himself and very knowledgeable. We are having him out again for another job.

My Wife and I hired Tony to install 5 casement windows. We were very pleased with Tony, His workers and the work done. So we had Tony install 8 more windows, a 8 ft bow window, a new front door,back door and storm door. All good work. So next was a 1/2 bath. Again very happy! A  full bath/shower/vanity/mirror/closet/medicine  cabinet/lights/fan/tile floor/and chrome handy grab rails in tub. Our arm was not twisted, Tony is a lay back person. We did not want to let him go! Yes Virginia 9 interior doors was next.We want to have Tony come back.

This is my first review on Angie's List. Although we had other estimates (through Angie's List as well) Tony's estimate was in the middle. What you have read in the previous reviews does not do Tony and JJ (and the other people who worked for him) their proper due. Simply put, they were wonderful. The were prompt had great attention to detail and extremely considerate. I would just say, if you are looking for someone who takes great pride in his work, has great attention detail, and you want to have someone that you can trust...do not waste your time looking up other contracters. We will be getting additional work done on this house and I know who we will be contacting. Simply a joy to work with.

After receiving two other estimates which were VERY high, we contacted Tony. His estimate was half of what the other contractors had quoted. We had already purchased the vanity, lights, ceiling fan, faucets and floor tile and grout - we just needed someone to install them, along with providing a new door, and a closet door.

One contractor had already refused to take the job, because there was only one bathroom in our house, and he told us it would take a week to do the job. Tony made arrangements for a portable john to be delivered for our use. None of the other contractors had even suggested that! And we only were without bathroom facilities for 2 days. Tony started on a Thursday, and by Saturday we had our bathroom back!

He worked that Saturday until 6:30 PM! He was meticulous, clean and a true professional. No shortcuts or cutting corners. His work ethic is something to be envied. We would hire him again in a heartbeat. In fact, when the time comes to re-do our kitchen, Tony will be the one we call!

The rain delayed the end date and when it was all over it was hard to sever the ties!! His work ethic is excellent and it shows in the pride he takes in fixing even the littlest things. He was kind, considerate, prompt, and very personable. His guys were great as well, Tony often stayed later to do the finish work by himself. He took great pride in converting this worn out house into something people would stop and comment about!!! I cannot recommend him highly enough. Wish we could keep him on retainer but we can't!! His price was neither the highest nor the lowest- but he came to the house twice before we contracted with him and he seemed very "genuine" At one point he told us that even if we didn't contract with him this house of ours really needed to have something done!! Very professional, very organized, very respectful . Would recommend him to anyone.

Tony and his crew are true professionals and know their stuff. I chose them because of their Angie's list reviews and I am happy to say that they are right on point, I give them an and quot;Aand quot;!!!!! I really can't say enought about their work. On Time, Clean and Professional. All rubbish was removed and at the end of the day my property was always clean. My porch is a perfect fit for my home. The quality of their work is outstanding and I will use them for all my remodeling needs.

Tony was responsive to my questions and worked with my schedule to get the job done quickly. The cost was very resonable to what other's bid and their work is top notch. I will be referring this company to my friends and family. In addition, I have Tony's cell in my phone for all future jobs as Number One contractor. He was friendly and a pleasure to work with on this job.

I should have hired him the first time he came out for a quote. Excellent work, very professional and careful with the house and lawn with his equipment. This guy did top notch work and very pleasant to deal with.

Tony started this job on time and finished ahead of schedule. This was important as it had to be coordinated with other work that was being done. As with any job of this scope there was additional work that had to be done. The repair area on the floor and wall was greater that originally anticipated. Tony did this extra work without adding to the cost. The price was less than other estimates. The quality of the work was excellent. I am a real stickler for detail and Tony measures up to my expectations. At the end of each work day Tony cleaned up the work area which minimized the impact on the property. After the work was completed I noticed a minor issue with separation of the vinyl base. Tony repaired it the day after I told him about it. Tony's professionalism is second to none. Of all of the contracters I work with no one is better.

They are extremely competitive. They are willing to work with you, and they do not nickel and dime you. Sometimes they will through extra small things in for free.

Tony is the best contractor and carpenter we have ever used -- period. And we've used too many to mention. His attention to detail is unparalleled in my experience. At every point during the projects, he reviewed any additional work needed to bring the house up to modern standards and code requirements. Even the inspectors were impressed and ultimately flabbergasted by the skill he displayed in adapting a new deck to incorporate an existing outdoor fireplace and tree on the side of the house. The products he recommended for the deck were fantastic (TimberTech XLM for the decking itself). Great stuff, and great recommendation. Within a day we knew we were working with someone we could trust. The siding/window work was not able to be quoted outright due to the extensive needs and the "unknowns" of what would be found behind much of the siding. So Tony gave us an extremely reasonable hourly rate and provided detail write-ups of what was found/needed on a day-to-day basis. We had recently used Lowes to install some windows, and they did an absolutely terrible job. We ordered a garden window for the kitchen which the Lowes contractor informed us was the wrong size for the space, and this was after he measured/ordered the window himself. Tony fixed all of the bad work Lowes performed, and said he would take a look at the garden window while I ran out on an errand one morning. When I returned two hours later, the window was installed, trimmed, and beautiful. He also provided a detailed write-up of all of the time spent and related cost for fixing Lowes' work so I could hit them up for reimbursement. We're still using Tony. It's hard to have him leave, as we've found other projects along the way that we want to use him for. He's a jack-of-all-trades in many respects, but not afraid to let us know when something is not within his skill set. In inspecting our roof, he reminded us that our chimney needed to be replaced because the brickwork and pointing was shot. Tony called a friend who was there within a day and did the work for $1300 less than we were quoted from a popular roofing company. Using Tony is like having an inspector but one who can actually fix all of the problems he/she identifies. This is the only recommendation I've ever written on Angie's List, and one that I am happy to take the time to provide.

When I called and asked for an estimate he was there within 3 hours(on a Sunday)! Took down all the info and called the next day with a totally acceptable price. We had to wait a couple of weeks for him to start due to the weather(he needed a couple of 50 degree days). But three weeks later he arrived and worked diligently(including one day in the rain). The job took about 2.5 days, he removed all his debris, and the new boards and gutter look fabulous and blend in well with the style and age of the house! Tony is a very conscientious and hard worker. I'm looking for more jobs around our house for him.

The entire project went very well from the estimate through completion. Tony met with me exactly on time to provide me with the estimate. He performed the work on the day promised. He completed all of the tasks exactly as he had described when he gave me the estimate. He cleaned up the site on completion. Tony was very professional and courteous throughout the process. There were no surprises, the final cost was the same as the estimate. The cost was very reasonable for the work done.
