I have seen the worst of the worst in terms of home inspectors (we have looked at many of homes in the past few months) and now the best with Gary at A Closer Look Home Inspectors.  Gary is thorough, knowledgeable, experienced and very FAIRLY priced. For $325 I got all of the information a first time home buyer could ever want and need AND then some! Gary took the time to explain each and every detail of his home inspection. I asked alot of questions and he was patient and clear as he walked through and evaluated the entire home. Not only did Gary  provide a very detailed 10+ page report which was written out on the spot, within hours Gary then provided another follow up detailed report with even more information, an additional overview, breakdown of concerns, color photos (lots of them) and he even supplied additional report docs that included regulations/tips for buyers to read through.
Gary's appointment book fills up quickly so give him a call first as the word has spread on his great service! He will do his best to fit you in and provide you with the first cancellation, if any.
Just a tip for you first time home buyers, I had another home inspection done that took maybe an hour to complete and didn't include the attic, outside of the home, porch, etc. Do yourself a favor and be sure to get a home inspector who is thorough and takes his time to review every detail (that he can safely get to) for your benefit. Get yourself a good inspector like Gary!

I would highly recommend A Closer Look, as a matter of fact, I will be using him again next week because the house he originally inspected for me, didn't work out for us.  He promptly returned my phone calls, was professional during the inspection and promptly followed through with an electronic version of the report (hard copy provided at end of inspection) within 24 hours of the inspection.

He was very thorough.  He didn’t miss a thing.  He also had a great price.  He was very easy to talk to, laid back and considerate.
