Carl Reusch Construction

Carl was hired to replace a deck in our back yard and replace a side porch. This project was estimated to take 6-8 weeks. The project dragged on for 6 months and was not completed to construction codes. Carl was more interested in mingling than working. During the construction project it was decided that we would sell the house and inquired with Carl that all building permits would need to be up to date prior to selling the home. The project which should have been completed prior to the end of summer was determined to not be in compliance with local building codes. Due to Carl’s lack of following building standards the deck would not pass inspection. During the transition period of selling the house Carl took it upon himself to disassemble all the work which had previously been done rather than fixing the failed project. Due to his shoddy work it cost an extra 8 thousand dollars to have another company come and rebuild the deck. Carl’s conduct and demeanor during the entire project was unprofessional. Carl become combative and disgruntled when questioned about his work and his failure to follow building codes. I would not recommend Carl to anyone as he has proven that he will not comply with building codes (if he even knows them) and he is combative and unstable and fails to work a full day. Carl told us prior to being hired that he had workers to help him and this turned out to be a lie as Carl worked alone everyday. Carl was eventually fired from the project and cost us unexpected amounts of money.

I have had two leaks into my livingroom and walls and ceiling since roof done (never before this).  He was very reluctant to fix anything.  Did shotty job to cover up.  Now after recent wind/rain storm my roof is open down to the plywood with leak into my living room and wall and ceiling. Insurance inspector came 4/22/2014.  I asked if there was an independent inspector/contractor to justify my issue with the man.  He did several things while working on my roof that were unacceptable-few mentioned above.  I have contacted Better Business Bureau and Attorney General's office 9/5/13 and 4/22/2014.

I do admit that I should have gotten other bids before doing this but thought a personal reference would be suitable but now I realize I was wrong there.
