CANDIGIT EXCAVATING

It went very smoothly. I had previously gotten a few quotes on the job to be done before Candigit was recommeded to me by another contractor. I dropped the plans off at their office then Jim made a visit to my property to see the job and had a quote to me within a day. The price wasn't the cheapest nor was it the most expensive. It was right in the middle and would be what I considered a good, fair price for the job to be done. On this kind of job, I wonder if the lowest bidder would complete the job or drag their feet getting it done. I didn't want my lawn ripped up and have construction equipment on it for 3-4 weeks nor did I want to chase a contractor to complete the job. I was told that Jim runs a pretty efficient operation and that they don't waste time getting the job done. The whole process took about 4 days from beginning to end. It probably would have been 2 days if they didn't have to wait for the inspector to sign off. The guys on the job were personable and respectful of the property. On day 1, when Josh broke ground they had a couple of dump trucks in rotation taking the dirt/fill away. As one truck left full, an empty one showed up to continue the process. On day 2, they put in the leach field and on day 3, they filled it in and topped it off with loam and then planted grass seed. During the process some of the gravel in my driveway was displaced and they actually added gravel to make it better than it was before they came. A week has passed and I'm starting to see the grass starting to grow after regular waterings. If you have any excavation work or need a septic system, I wouldn't hesitate to use Candigit Excavating.
