Adelino Soares did incredible work on my retaining wall, building a new structure that is sturdy and beautiful. I was so thrilled with his work that I hired him to perform two additional jobs. He just finished replacing my front steps, and we're currently contracted for a backyard patio. On all of his jobs, Mr. Soares was honest, professional, and a joy to work with. He gave straightforward comments and fair estimates, and the quality of his work is difficult to understate. I highly recommend him as a contractor, as a professional, and as an expert stonemason.

The project went very well. Adelino replaced about 30 feet of a concrete apron along the side of our 120 year old house. The apron was badly cracked and had separated from the foundation which I believe was the cause of water leaking into our basement. He was able to recycle the original concrete, added wire mesh and covered it with new concrete that was placed and set above our expectations. We were impressed with the quality of work and Adelino's insistence on completing it to highest of standards including the cleanup of the yard. We were very pleased and wouldn't hesitate to hire him for other masonry work.

Residential sidewalk construction job. We had an old walkway comprised of uneven large stones, some areas with cement poured between the stones. Very difficult to walk on this surface. Curved 65-foot pathway around the side of the house to a second entrance. This project involved removal of the stones and cement from the old walkway. Then digging down 5-7”, placing small white stones and then a a mix of grades of sand in the sidewalk trench. Vigorously and throughly tamped down both by hand and with a machine with forming a firm bed that enables drainage of the new finished walkway. 4”x8” paver stones arranged in an artistic pattern following the contour of the walkway and flaring out to the full widths of the cement stairs from the front and side doors. Sidewalk also flares out to expand as it rounds the curve on the way to the side door. Entire walkway connects smoothly to the driveway, with a very slight and perfect overall grade to enable the flow of rain water off the walkway. Additional work to create an 8’ channel drain across driveway, involving cutting the asphalt and cementing. This extra work solves our long-term problem with ponding, and in the winter dangerous freezing on the driveway surface. Adelino Soares arrived with two additional workers, removed the large pile of large stones and took them away (at my request). His attention to project planning and execution were commendable, start to finish. Adelino is a gentleman and professional in every regard. This is his second job at our house, where he refurbished our front slate and stone stairs and landing by doing an outstanding job. I was very happy to hire Adelino again to do this more complex job. He showed up as promised and scheduled, worked steadily and consistently from the start of the job to its conclusion. Adelion Soares Construction comes very highly recommended by me as an excellent choice for anyone who is considering getting stone and masonry work done.

Adelino was always on time, professional, very knowledgeable of his craft and proud of his work. Very competitive pricing. The work looks great and I would certainly hire him again if another need arose.

I had Adelino out a couple of years ago to build a retaining wall and do some other work around the house. When it was time to expand my paver paths I knew he was the guy I wanted to do the work. As expected everything came out really well, and I am very happy with the work, the price, and the cleanup. I would not hesitate to recommend Adelino to anyone.

The patio Angelino built surpassed all of our expectations. He showed up on time for our first meeting, carefully examined the job, and gave us a very competitive, detailed, all-inclusive estimate. No nickel and diming. He met all of his commitments, even suggesting ways we could save money. Most importantly, he is an old world craftsman who does the critical work himself to extremely high standards, while keeping his crew constantly in motion. When they wet the polymetric sand at the end of the job, I was amazed to see no puddling and especially pleased to see no accumulation by the doors. The patio is everything we had hoped for, and the cleanup pristine. In my 40+ years of dealing with contractors, Adelino is second to none. His workmanship is superb, his price extremely competitive, and his integrity impeccable. Very highly recommended.

Adelino was great in fixing the broken railings at our home. He made sure they were installed with plenty of support, and he did the work on time, and was very pleasant to deal with.

it went great!! From the first call to Adelino we knew we called the right guy.Adelino came on time to our house to give us a estimate on the walkway we wanted installed.to our surprise he had many photo albums of the past jobs he had done over the years.Adelino sat with us for quiet a wile going over the job he had us pick out the color of the stone to use and he did a great herringbone design at our request he added flowerbeds on both sides of the walkway it came out beautiful. As will happen, it was a lot more work than we had anticipated but had no way of knowing until Andolino got to work and saw the poor job that was done when the porch was originally put in. Andolino does very good, thorough work. Unfortunately he didn't offer the coupon discount even though they knew found them on Angies List. Other than that, the only other minor complaint was that they were a bit messy in that dried up cement pieces (large and small) were not fully cleaned up.

Adelino returned my calls as soon as possible, came right on time, felt like I was really heard in what i wanted and he told me to trust him, and i did. I couldn't be anymore happier with the job Adelino has done for my husband and I. We will definitely use him again, we enjoyed our beautiful patio and stairs this summer. Don't look anywhere else this guy is the real deal!

Horrible. We're putting our review elsewhere because we REALLY don't want other people hiring this man for mason work. He is NOT a mason. But he IS a fast talker, and will probably end up having you pay more than he originally says.

Loved the way it looked, but a few months later one of the stones darkened. It looks awful, the rest of the stones are natural looking and this one now doesn't match the rest. I tried to contact Adelino 3 times (Starting on July 1st.) Texted him with a photo of the stone step, then called him and left a voice message, then contacted by email via Angies List, which in the past had responded. No contact back to me at all. He claims he guarantees his work, but apparently this is not the case. We will probably need to contact a lawyer to get this resolved UPDATE: My husband called on his cell phone, and since he did not know the phone number he picked up. My husband explained the situation, and Adelino said that its the stone, and said he is not responsible for the stone, and refuses to do anything about it.

From the first phone call with Adelino, I knew I was dealing with a professional. Adelino evaluated the project and gave a reasonable estimate. He wasn't the cheapest, but the extra money was worth it for the great job he and his crew did. Adelino finished the job in one day, dismantling the old deck while replacing other railings. Adelino and his crew loaded the debris into his dump truck before landscaping and planting grass seed on the ground beneath the old deck. Adelino came with tools and equipment to finish the job the right way. Adelino was supervising the entire time and his crew left the jobsite tidy. I would recommend Adelino Soares Construction to anyone. I plan to hire Adelino again for masonry work.

Job went well. Adelino and his crew are hard workers dedicated to doing a nice job. We are very happy with our new stairs and walkway. Adelino added another stair as our steps were rather high. He came back a week later and power washed the walkway and stairs. It looks beautiful!

Arrived promptly and shared a photo album of different jobs that he had completed. He was very friendly and offered different suggestions. I was very happy with the quality of the work and professionalism. Would highly recommend!

I called Adelino last Friday due to the fact that I needed a mason quickly to repair a leak that developed in a basement window that is now covered by a patio. He scheduled to meet me Monday at my house and met me on time that day. He looked at the job and gave me a fair price and told me that he could start in a week or two. I told him that I could wait but really needed it quickly. He left and about an hour later called me and told me that he could do the job the next day!. Tuesday came and Adelino and his worker arrived on time. He pulled up the pavers and dug an 8 foot long by 3-4 foot deep trench about outside where the water was leaking. He then sealed it and back filled it with crushed stone and told me that it would work. After the very heavy rain we had last night I knew that prior to the repair I would have had water entering the basement. I walked downstairs this morning and the area is dry as a bone even though there was water on the patio. Thank you Adelino! I will absolutely recommend him to anyone.

I took him off Angie's List. I never heard back from him. He never called me back. I never got a quote from him and he never did any services. I took the time to meet with these people and then they don't get back with me. He is one of the high rated ones. It is a victim of its own success. To do better they could get back to me with a quote. I would think if they were taking the time out of their schedule and do an estimate they could at least take the time to provide you with that estimate. I think it is just the reliability of responding with an estimate. He came when he said he would.
