Adelino Soares did incredible work on my retaining wall, building a new structure that is sturdy and beautiful. I was so thrilled with his work that I hired him to perform two additional jobs. He just finished replacing my front steps, and we're currently contracted for a backyard patio. On all of his jobs, Mr. Soares was honest, professional, and a joy to work with. He gave straightforward comments and fair estimates, and the quality of his work is difficult to understate. I highly recommend him as a contractor, as a professional, and as an expert stonemason.

Concrete Repair, Foundation Repair
The project went very well. Adelino replaced about 30 feet of a concrete apron along the side of our 120 year old house. The apron was badly cracked and had separated from the foundation which I believe was the cause of water leaking into our basement. He was able to recycle the original concrete, added wire mesh and covered it with new concrete that was placed and set above our expectations. We were impressed with the quality of work and Adelino's insistence on completing it to highest of standards including the cleanup of the yard. We were very pleased and wouldn't hesitate to hire him for other masonry work.

Residential sidewalk construction job. We had an old walkway comprised of uneven large stones, some areas with cement poured between the stones. Very difficult to walk on this surface. Curved 65-foot pathway around the side of the house to a second entrance. This project involved removal of the stones and cement from the old walkway. Then digging down 5-7”, placing small white stones and then a a mix of grades of sand in the sidewalk trench. Vigorously and throughly tamped down both by hand and with a machine with forming a firm bed that enables drainage of the new finished walkway. 4”x8” paver stones arranged in an artistic pattern following the contour of the walkway and flaring out to the full widths of the cement stairs from the front and side doors. Sidewalk also flares out to expand as it rounds the curve on the way to the side door. Entire walkway connects smoothly to the driveway, with a very slight and perfect overall grade to enable the flow of rain water off the walkway. Additional work to create an 8’ channel drain across driveway, involving cutting the asphalt and cementing. This extra work solves our long-term problem with ponding, and in the winter dangerous freezing on the driveway surface. Adelino Soares arrived with two additional workers, removed the large pile of large stones and took them away (at my request). His attention to project planning and execution were commendable, start to finish. Adelino is a gentleman and professional in every regard. This is his second job at our house, where he refurbished our front slate and stone stairs and landing by doing an outstanding job. I was very happy to hire Adelino again to do this more complex job. He showed up as promised and scheduled, worked steadily and consistently from the start of the job to its conclusion. Adelion Soares Construction comes very highly recommended by me as an excellent choice for anyone who is considering getting stone and masonry work done.

I had Adelino out a couple of years ago to build a retaining wall and do some other work around the house. When it was time to expand my paver paths I knew he was the guy I wanted to do the work. We highly recommend Adelino Soares. He did an absolutely beautiful job on our driveway and walkway. He finished the job within the estimated time frame and within the agreed to budget. The materials used were first rate and the underlining base very well made. The job site was kept tidy during construction. We have had several people stop and ask us who did the job because it is so beautiful and because they are interested in having Adelino do some work for them.

Everything went great. Adelino is a true professional and he knows what he is talking about. He is honest about cost and recommendations are made and he does really nice work. See attached pictures. The lower path he didn't do, but he did the stone wall, regraded behind the wall, you can also see where the two downspouts were run into a single drain. In the other picture is the reverse angle of the paver walkway from the stair. All very nice work, and done within the exact timeframe Adelino promised.

The patio Angelino built surpassed all of our expectations. He showed up on time for our first meeting, carefully examined the job, and gave us a very competitive, detailed, all-inclusive estimate. No nickel and diming. He met all of his commitments, even suggesting ways we could save money. Most importantly, he is an old world craftsman who does the critical work himself to extremely high standards, while keeping his crew constantly in motion. When they wet the polymetric sand at the end of the job, I was amazed to see no puddling and especially pleased to see no accumulation by the doors. The patio is everything we had hoped for, and the cleanup pristine. In my 40+ years of dealing with contractors, Adelino is second to none. His workmanship is superb, his price extremely competitive, and his integrity impeccable. Very highly recommended.
