They were very good.

We've used Litehouse before for some roof and gutter work and were very pleased with the results. Bob responded quickly and he (and Branor) came to estimate the work. Branor and his crew started the installation within a couple of weeks. His work was of the highest quality, great communication, and his attentiveness to detail was excellent. Would easily hire again.

there were make shift doors already in place. what i wanted originally was to make those doors fit better and have a lock placed on them. a pad lock or something would have been fine. it was suggested by bob that the doors be replaced by proper doors (cutting one premade door in half and installing hardware). we talked about it, i was given a price of around $300, which felt like a lot to me since there were already doors there, but i decided to go ahead with it anyway. bob is the contractor who built the place i own, and had done one other job for me, so i trusted him. the job was done and done well. HOWEVER, materials cost $175. $300 for labour. and i still have to paint the doors myself. at one point i went outside with my dog and one of the doors was sitting on a work horse while the 2 guys sent to do the job were sitting in the van. i believe i must have been charged for that time. in reality, the job could have been done in an hour or 90 minutes by one guy who spent the entire hour doing the job and didn't keep going in and out for whatever the reasons were (to sit in the van?). there is NO WAY that anyone can convince me that this job required both 2 guys AND/OR 2.5 hours of labour. i shared my concern with bob but he did not change the price. i feel robbed and cheated. and i will probably be removing the sweeps placed on the bottom of the doors because esthetically they are not pretty (3 of them came in to do that) and the doors are in my front room. i am so disappointed. i wish i could hire him again, but i can't. i will never hire anyone to do a job ever again without a written quote. the b rating for everything but price is related to a couple of things. lack of promptness (he arrived for a scheduled appointment a couple of hours late, by which time i had left my house for another appointment - he didn't reach out to say he would be late). the pricing issue extends into professionalism, though he is a nice guy. in terms of quality, the previous job i had done involved removing draft around 2 doors - one of them was done perfectly, the other one is no better than it was before. some of this could have been overlooked had i been left happy with this most recent job. sadly i was not.

Litehouse Services performed as expertly as one would desire.  The problems were analyzed correctly, explanations given about what was wrong and what was needed to repair, then the work was done satisfactorily.  Communication was great from the first contact, to the arrival on the job, to the invoicing.

They were very accommodating, really good communicator, and fair pricewise. They were honest and up front in terms of the estimates and it's never widely different from what Bob estimates. Bob's available almost all the time to either talk or come over and check something out.

Overall, they were wonderful. They were quick to respond and were willing to communicate via email, which we found convenient. They were by far our most reasonable estimate. They conducted themselves very professionally and safely when on the job. The new gutters are great and the system they installed is much more efficient than our old one. They paid attention to details we asked for. At one point, we had a few days of heavy rain, and the roof leak suddenly got much worse, and they quickly accommodated our request to move up the replacement of the small section of rubber roof and patched the leak effectively. We've had a lot of rain since, and the leak seems fixed and the gutters are routing all the water away from the house as they should, effectively keeping our basement dry.
