It went perfectly .... Grass came in as expected ... JD followed up after grass was established and dealt with any small imperfections.

I was contacting landscaping companies to give me a quote on some backyard drainage, digging out some rocks, spreading some loam and hydroseeding. John came out and seemed pleasant enough, had some good ideas, said they were willing to work with my budget. The first quote was more extensive than we had really discussed, and thousands more. More loam and seed than we needed. It was itemized though, so I emailed him back to rework the specs of the job a bit. The redone quote still included way more loam than the area measured. I had contacted other companies and the loam amount was way over what anyone else suggested for the backyard, so I measured, used a loam calculator and came up with an amount to request. I also asked for a general duration of job. I understand it is a busy time of year, but this is why I also emailed. You don't have to reply until you have time. They do not appear to have any one in an office or answering a phone, like many small companies. That is no issue, until I did not hear back for a few days and emailed to just check in on the updated quote and time frame. I have been burned in the past by companies not showing up to do jobs when I have no or little confirmation or contract or deposit taken. I simply asked for confirmation and an accurate quote, and he replied with a very rude reply of how he could not get back to me over every little thing and how he had told me it would be around such and such date, and then told me he could no longer do our job. Ok, then. So basically I got fired for being too needy and wanting an accurate quote and asking how many days about the job would take. We have water in our basement and it needs to be fixed. I wasted a week of my time now waiting for simple replies from over a couple of simple questions. This is a job I can't be burned on, wait a month for someone to show up and then them decide to not show up for whatever reason. I did receive other quotes with professional companies that require a deposit and contract to be signed. I will go with a more professional company that can assure they can do the job and show up. I own my own business and bad customer service is a big sticking point for me.  Being dismissed like a child is not good customer service.

It was awful! Requested dark brown mulch, the mulch they put down is black! Some edging was done but not all. None of the dead annuals were cut or pulled out. Just laid mulch over them.
When call owner, he gave us 60.00 back. Big deal...I hate black mulch and now have to remove it off the annuals to trim them back and re-apply.
Thanks Minardi but no thanks.

Overall was pretty good alittle pricy compared to some others I looked at

As was promised.

They were very decent. They responded fast and generated a quote very quickly.
