He edged the entire driveway (more than 500 ft. long) and spread by hand. The product used was wonderful. It wasn't "goopy" looking and spread very nicely! What a professional job - in all respects. Sealcoated my driveway which included sealing some cracks. Explained the everything clearly and was professional and on time. Even offered to come back and repair cracks if they come back within a year. My driveway looks great, highly recommended!

The work perfect sums it all up. John was on time for the estimate, on time to complete the Job. He's a great communicator and he his work is perfect. I've had my driveway sealcoated in the past and it didn't even come close this quality of an application. If you enjoy a perfect driveway as much as I do, John is the guy for your job. No doubt.

I called John on and Monday evening and he called back on Tuesday. He arrived on Wednesday and gave me a price. We scheduled the job for the following Wednesday for 9:30 am. John arrived on time did one driveway and came back on Friday to do the other one. He was very professional and did a great job. I am very pleased with his work and have arranged for him to come back and power wash my house. I would use him again without hesitation.

John returned my call promptly on Tuesday, gave me an estimate by Thursday, and completed the job on Friday. I was happy to see that he was very careful not to get the sealcoating on the stone wall bordering one side of our driveway.

UPDATE -- All of the cracks sealed in the driveway re-opened about a month after the work was done. Will have to either re-seal the cracks myself or call someone else to come in. Updated quality and Overall to C.

John's estimate was slightly lower than others we received and his work was excellent. Gave him a "B" in responsiveness since he didn't call us back to schedule an appointment when he promised, and we had to call him (seems to be the standard case in Massachusetts for some reason). But, once we called and left a voicemail, he called us right back and scheduled for the next day.
John is very knowledgeable, friendly, and does excellent work. Overall, we're very happy and would use him again.

Highly recommended. He provided a professional written estimate (which was slightly lower than the other two guys I contacted) and offered to sealcoat the sidewalk and fill a small sinkhole as well (no additional cost). He answered the phone whenever I called, came at a convenient time, did a really good job, and was friendly and professional. He even offered to come by later in the year if any of the cracks open up again (again, no additional cost). What more can you ask?

The quality of the work was excellent. A significant amount of effort went into preparing the driveway to insure the product set properly. They were very careful to insure the product did not spill over onto a portion of the driveway with pavers. They made sure to come to do the service when the weather would allow for the product to set-up properly. The provider educated me on the key factors to a quality job answering all of my questions professionally and with great courtesy. In fact, on my learning their company provides other services and Ive made plans to have them back this summer.

First Class was prompt and reasonably priced. Had the driveway and walkway cracks sealed. Planning to have the driveway replaced in the summer or fall after having a new garage door installed and will definitely consider First Class as a provider. Sealed surfaces are still in great shape, as would be expected only a couple of months later.

John Hicks quickly gave me a quote and then soon thereafter scheduled the work. He arrived right on time, was very personable, and explained what he would be doing. He did a thorough and professional job, and I was very happy with the results. I recommend him highly.

First Class showed up when he said he would, fixed cracks, 5 foot square section, and sealed everything, all in a day as promised. Unfortunately I was too busy at work to stay home and 'supervise', so my wife paid First Class without really questioning the job.When I got home I noticed that sealing job was beautiful - super neat, much better than I used to do at old house.
But I was surprised to see cracks were filled with same stuff I used to get at home center - not hot tar. Also, 5 square foot section was filled with loose, uncompacted asphalt - again something I could get at local home center, and implement myself - i.e. no special tools, compactors, etc. were used.
SO - price of job was some $250 more than it would have cost me in materials. I estimate it took at least 6 hours to fill cracks, put down asphalt, and apply sealer. So price was very reasonable. However, I had hoped for crack filling method that was better than what I could do. Also, fairly disappointed in repair of 5 sq ft. section - if I had done it I would have rented some kind of compactor.
After a couple of months the 5 sq ft repair is still fairly loose, and is deteriorating - probably will not make it through the winter, despite First Class's assurances that the asphalt would 'harden' in a few days. To be fair, First Class has made the offer to fix the 5 sp ft section if it becomes a problem, and I have yet to take him up on it. But I do not anticipate a repair significantly better than what is there now.
So, my observation is that First Class is an excellent option if all you are looking for is sealing with minor crack repair. Price was right, punctual, very nice sealing job. However, if there are larger cracks and/or sections that need asphalt repair, you may want to spend the extra $$
