Bob's Insulation

Jacob and his team from Bob's were incredibly polite, worked hard and did a great job. The spaces they had to work in were very tight yet they managed to complete all the necessary tasks without issue

Very professional and knowledgeable. Gave honest answers, pricing options, came on scheduled day, work done on time, cleaned up perfectly, very very impressed. Can't say enough good things about Bob.

That was all we could afford. We are very pleased with their work. We still have a much warmer set of rooms in our top floor for the work they did.

On first occasion workers inserted foam under vinyl siding. All seemed fine. A year later, Sept 2013 siding buckled intermittently, especially in heat. Owner returned and fixed problem. Was prompt and cooperative. This is an older condo and I don't expect to use any insulation services again.

The workers for Bobs insulation were great, two young guys who were very polite and conscious of they're surroundings. Bob the owner was not. Bob did a lot of yelling at his men,he was not tidy or clean (I know insulation is a dirty business but he made no effort), he broke one of our screens and was just going to leave it but thankfully his workers would not stand for it and made sure it got fixed on the company's dime. The worst part was Bob's language. Twice he dropped the f-bomb in front of me(now I'm no saint but when your doing a professional job and representing your business that language is not necessary), he also did a lot of swearing and mumbling under his breath about his workers to me. I just found it very inappropriate.

When they showed up, the person came in looking disheveled and unkempt. Understanding the nature of the business, I looked beyond this, though in hindsight, I should not have. He did a review of my home and made solid recommendations (saying it would take 2 days) and when he came back to do the work, it all went south. He and his crew showed up, again disheveled, and tracked mud throughout my home, ruining the first area rug they stepped on. I again tried to be understanding, but I was a bit annoyed. They did a bit of work in my attic, where they tore up floorboards, left a mess that is still there 2 years later because it is too immense to clean up, and essentially, destroyed my attic. There are 4 large gaping holes in my floor. When he came in to my bedroom (where I was tending to my infant) to ask a question, he walked right onto an area rug, with the same filthy workmans boots he had on that ruined another rug in my home. I politely asked him to please step off the carpet because I had a child who was still learning to crawl and who used the carpet to crawl on...to which he stormed off in a huff. After I apologized (not sure why I had to apologize for his carelessness), he and his crew left. My house in disarray, I called to complain-- they were very appreciative of the feedback and paid for my carpet that had been stained to be cleaned. We scheduled a follow up where he was to finish the work in the attic and the rest of the home. 2 days later, they called back to say they thought my furnuture and home was and quot;too niceand quot; and that they feared they would wreck it, so they refused to do the work. I live in a modest home with furniture from Bob's discount...but I do take care of my things. This was in the late fall. By the time I got another contractor to do the work, it was 6 months later for the first available appointment. We spent the winter in an underinsulated home. I cannot recommend them.

We received a home energy assessment through Mass Save to have insulation installed in various places throughout our house. When we were asked if we had a specific contractor we wanted to use, we requested Bob's Insulation because we used them in 2010 and had a great experience. Not only are they punctual and professional, they also have a great demeanor. If I had any questions, which I always do, or needed clarification, Bob, Brian, and Amy were willing to take the time to answer them. Brian and his crew did a stellar job (according to the inspector) and thoroughly cleaned up once the job was complete. I have been burned by a contractor before, so when I deal with contractor's who actually do their job, especially when they go above and beyond, I like to give them the review they deserve. I would highly recommend Bob's Insulation.

It went well with one accident - a worker accidentally stepped through the attic floor which was the ceiling of the room below. However, it was patched up very nicely and is not detectable when looking at the ceiling. My only reservation in general was that I failed to get quotes from other companies, so I have no idea if the price we paid (over $8K) was reasonable or not. It seemed high to me, but as I said I did not get other quotes because of time constraints, and I am NOT a good judge of prices when it comes to home contracting.

In general it went well. They came on the appointed day, came on time both days, and did the work in the amount of time they had estimated. They did an OK job of cleaning up after the work.

My plumber told me what needed to be done to to correctly insulate the crawl space. I called Bob who immediately came out and gave me an estimate which I thought was reasonable. He and his crew were able to do the work the following week. They finished the work quickly, leaving nothing for me to clean up. The plumber checked out their work for me and said they did an excellent job. They got rid of the old insulation and installed thorough and sufficient insulation for the pipes and the crawl space.

good deal. I found Bob on craigslist after several other ocntractors couldn't make the date I needed it done by or turned it down beuase the job was too small. Bob and his brother came in and did a nice job, reasonable amount of time and at about HALF the other prices I ws quoted. I only have exprience with this one small job, but I'd recommend him for sure.
