For the past ten years, we have lived in a house remodeled by Hollerbrook about 12 years ago. During this time, we have uncovered numerous cases of shoddy workmanship and corner cutting.
A 60" half-round window was single pane, totally illegal. Knob-and-tube wiring connected to legit-appearing modern wiring. Lots of materials were evidently leftovers from other jobs, or re-used materials removed from other houses Hollerbrook "worked" on. Plumbing and electrical were poorly done - we concluded that when tradesmen were idle on other jobs, they were sent to our house - have the carpenter do the plumbing, have the plumber do the electrical work.
We now have gutted the kitchen and dining room to do the work correctly and see the evidence of Hollerbrook work in its full glory. Gaping holes in the walls behind the kitchen cabinets that became a highway for mice. Random leftover pieces of plywood used as a subfloor, including a large section that was 3/8 thick, held in place by a couple of finishing nails. Coffee cups and other trash left in the walls by lazy workers.
I hope these lazy slugs are no longer in business. They should not only be bankrupt, they should be incarcerated.
