Burt Mullen, of HouseMasters, was recommended via a contractor. Steve reported that Burt has retired, but they were partners. I liked Steve's service so much I hired him for the second inspection as well. Due to Steve's extensive knowledge and good communication skills, I felt comfortable with him right away. He answered all of my questions respectfully and truthfully. Steve brought a computer and printer with him and printed our results right away. The type of radon test he performed provided results within 48 hours, which he called in to me. HouseMasters provides the printed report in a consumer info binder with CDROM with homeowner tips. We didn't shop around for rates, so not sure if this is really expensive or not. We were charged $425 for each home inspection and $250 for radon inspection. It was worth it to have piece of mind about our home value. I would recommend him to anyone.

BURT MULLEN WAS THERE WELL AHEAD OF THE APPOINTED TIME. HIS INSPECTION WAS VERY METHODICAL, THOROUGH AND COMPLETE. AT THE END A VERY DETAILED REPORT WAS GIVEN TO ME, WITH BURT EXPLAINING EACH PAGE OF THE REPORT. I HAD PRACTICED REAL ESTATE FOR A FEW YEARS IN THE PAST, SO HAVE BEEN PRESENT FOR MANY HOME INSPECTIONS. THIS EXPERIENCE IS WHAT LED ME TO CHOOSE BURT MULLEN TO INSPECT MY OWN PROSPECTIVE HOME. (YES, I DID DECIDE TO BUY THE HOUSE.)
