After a life long interest in and passion for music and a recent affinity for acoustic guitar, I took the plunge last fall when I came upon Mr. Cath's card at a local business. Being in my 40's with no musical experience except for a remote history of piano lessons and lots of singing in the car, I proceeded with trepidation. I was immediately put at ease. Mr. Cath's profound musical talent, his passion for guitar and his keen teaching instinct has resulted in a highly rewarding experience. With results! In just over two months I have gone from not knowing how to hold a guitar to having the ability to play many chords, to strum and starting to play some of my favorite songs. I attribute this pace of progress to Mr. Cath's ability to quickly assess his student's strengths and interests and tailor his teaching style and goals accordingly. His in-home music studio is clean, organized and filled with equipment to make the process easy and fun. 
In addition, Mr. Cath enjoys lending his extensive guitar knowledge to provide students with guidance in purchasing a guitar. He is extremely detail oriented and savvy in his approach to assessing guitar models, styles and pricing to ensure that his students find the right guitar and accompanying accessories. I wanted something high in quality but without spending a fortune before I knew if I would pursue this over the long term. I found a great guitar with Mr. Cath's invaluable advice and because I now plan to play for the rest of my life I hope to upgrade when the time is right.
