When he finally came to install the railings they were painted black instead of grey with extra details that doesn't suit my house. I told him to stop installing because they were the wrong color. He wouldn't admit he made a mistake but reluctantly took them back to change color. He wanted half payment for $350. He returned a couple of weeks later to install the railings and I paid the balance $350. Later that day when I had a chance to inspect I noticed the top and bottom rails were different lengths. The bottom rail was over an inch too short and he used a huge bolt to fill the gap to attach to house on both left and right side. The paint had drips and bobbles and clearly not painted in a spray booth. Cement was spread over my new granite steps. I haven't been able to clean off the gobs of cement. I stopped payment on the check. He went berserk and threatened to cut off the railings if I didn't pay him. I have many texts selecting his anger.
Overall I found him to be unprofessional. The $9000 I paid him he wanted in small checks so he could cash them and hide income from IRS. He said he would give me a deal if I did that. I asked him to make repairs but he insisted in rebuilding not repairing. I do not recommend using him.
"Hello [Member Name Removed], I would like to apologize for not meeting your expectations on the railing part of our last project, I have been fair with you on everything that I wrote on the contract with you on the landscaping project, and on the Railing part of it, I have records on my texts suggesting you to find an Iron [Member Name Removed] and you insisted on having me do it, so please understand and be kind to remove this bad review out my profile. I am not a bad contractor I have been around for almost 15 years, and all of my customers are very happy 100% pleased with our work. with you putting a stop payment on the last check I am paying out of my pocket to have done the railing work for you. Sincerely, Ezra."
