Fred, Shane, and Freddy were great workers. As previously, when they remodeled our kitchen and built us a screened porch, this small company did work of the highest quality, and in a courteous and friendly manner. We don't want anyone else to paint for us. In remodeling, they helped us choose items that were within our budget, yet they didn't let us buy inferior quality. These guys are the best!

Fred did a great job managing the project, making adjustments as needed. Everyone was professional and cleaned up the site each day. Fred and Shane created a strong, beautiful porch for us. We are very happy with their work and will be hiring them for our next project.

We called Fred and he came over to see what the project was. We talked about various options. A day or two later, we received a bid and accepted it. During the project, Fred was always receptive to our questions and provided realistic answers. Upon our arrival home, we were thrilled with his work!

Fred's committment to quality and doing the job right is why I highly recommend him. We did a bathroom remodel and needed a custom size vanity to fit an odd space. Fred built a vanity that was so much better built than I could have bought at a store. He also installed crown moulding in the bathroom and adjoining room. Again, the level of detail he puts into each job really is amazing. I enjoy showing off his work to my friends.I also had him go around the exterior of the house inspecting the wood clapboard siding and tightening up the house, caulking, replacing bad siding boards, etc. Again, when he was finished, the exterior looked great and you couldn't tell where he had made any repairs! You pay a little more for Fred, but it is because he puts more time into doing the job right. He is trust worthy, keeps me updated on the project and explains if he finds something that needs attention, and overall works on the house like it's his own.

The short story: We are completey satisfied! Fred will be our 1st call for our next project.

Fred answered my first call to inquire about his interest in replacing the screening on our porch. We made an appointment for him to come and scope out the work in order to submit an estimate/quote. My wife had selected 6 potential companies from Angies List. Of the the 6, 4 did not return my call. Being on Angies List, I expected that they would have had the courtesy to respond as that could lead to more appropriate/larger scale projects in the future. Back to Fred.

Fred arrived for our appointment on time. We clarified details of the project such as type of screen, size of lattice, whose staining what, date to start, duration etc. Fred was very knowledgable, asking questions and making suggestions that quickly led to our having confidence that he knew what he was doing with regard to this small project and would likely be an excellent resource for other larger projects that we are considering for the future. We expanded the original porch project to include the other 2 items. We shared email addresses with Fred promising to send his estime/quote within a few days. This he did.

Subsequent phone calls and emails were responded to promptly. We are very sensitive to communication as a prior contractor who had done quality work for us as his father had before was extremely difficult to communicate with, not returning calls.

The work was rough scheduled in an acceptable time frame as was the precise day. Fred and Shane arrived on time and went to work like they had rehearsed every step. Once they started , they did not stop. No breaks, no lunch etc. Occassionaly through out the day I conversed with them but basically tried to stay out of their way but be available should there be any questions or requests. I was there that day only by chance as the day selected by them was my day off from work. That was good for us
as it ensured that our German Shepard would not be stressed and possibly distructive to our living area because 2 strangers were spending the day behind her house and making noises.

They cleaned up after themselves as they worked along so there were no piles of screen or old lattice laying around. When they were done, the porch and nearby yard looked liked they had not been there.

I have spent my life looking for workman as good as these two. They are the “Dream Team.” Fred and Shane are what you always hoped you could find, but in the end, you settled for less. I needed some help on my Belmont House, and after many unsatisfying encounters with Service Magic no-shows and others, I finally asked a neighbor. She told me about these two amazing guys (who were recommended to her by another Neighbor, word Does get around!). I have asked neighbors before, and it has not always worked out, so I was dubious. Boy was I wrong. Shane and Fred showed up and went into a Zen state of Engineering Solutions for my leaking sunroom. Solved it in 15 minutes. Having passed that “test” I asked them to look at my parent’s 1870s Queen Anne Victorian in Cambridge MA (02138) What they found, how they talked about the damage (significant) was revealing. These two care about their work AND they are price sensitive! They understood that we didn’t have tons of money and proposed brilliant choices for saving, but far more important, Fred pointed out where cutting costs would be counter-productive. For example, he said: “this trim is architecturally important and I will try to save it” and he did. Job was for essentially redoing most of the back of the house. Job was split into two jobs as I had to be sure they would stick to the quote and work would be satisfactory. Once I realized how good they were I immediately hired them to continue on the second project. Not only did they replace clapboards, trim and sheathing but primed the aged cedar and painted all of it and used the correct nails. They also solved the downspout issue that made the house rot to begin with. Some of this was not obvious; in that they took into account the architectural detail but also the drainage to make a perfect compromise. Because Fred and Shane are the consummate workmen, they also took care of some gate latches and removed debris upon my request. And of course they cleaned up completely after themselves, unlike my roofers where I am still finding nails 5 years later. I will never hire another contractor team the rest of my life and nor should you. I am TOTALLY beyond satisfied.

Very well. Fred isn't cheap but he's quality and that's what you pay for. The room looked amazing after he was done with it. He even took the time to sand down the original paint job of the room so that when it was repainted, the walls and windows looked brand new. His attention to detail and perfection is why we have kept him on as our "handyman". Since this job, he has done several other jobs for us including painting, outdoor work, and waterproofing. What I really like about him is that it's just him and Shane. No other contracted people walking in and out of your house. You know who will be there and you can trust them.

They did a superb job! These guys are hard-working and thorough; they won’t settle for anything less than excellent quality. They knocked out walls, shored up the weight-bearing wall, and installed a lovely new kitchen. Then they worked with us to plan a porch that would fit our modest budget. Along the way, they were willing to make several other repairs on our home—all at a reasonable cost. We’d hire them again in a minute.

Had an existing deck that was failing. Fred replaced the deck boards and installed new deck boards with hidden fasteners. I was very pleased with the level of detail of the job. The deck looks terrific, Fred had ideas for installing the decking that he discussed with my wife and I that really made the deck look outstanding. The hidden fasteners, while more labor to install, really give a great look to the deck. Every night, the job site was cleaned and swept before they left for the day. Any questions that came up, he was sure to contact us to include us in the decision making process. After the job was complete, he stopped by again to make sure we were satisfied with the work. We are very happy with the work Fred has done for us and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality job.
