They replaced our existing Buderus (disaster) boiler with a new Viessmann unit. Did the entire replacement (removal and installation) in less than a day, so we were never without hot water. Very clean installation and very professional service.

Replaced old AC along with expanded its size to handle our attic. Did great work I still need to schedule for them to come out and fill up the coolant as per their directions but I am confident it will get done!

I have used Advanced Mechanical several times and each time they have been on-time and very professional. The work was done in a timely fashion and for the agreed cost. I have found Brenda and her team to be easy to work with. I hired Advance Mechanical after having a less than ideal experience with another firm. I have continue to work with them thru their seasonal Maintenance program.

I've hired AMS a few times and I generally find them to be expensive but overall responsive and the work is usually fine. This time they performed the work, made some mistakes and had to come back, and I'm not confident that the work is to code/best practice. They then sent a bill 9 months later and it was clear that the #s were off (much higher than originally quoted). The materials charges were clearly manufactured.

Mid-December of 2015, AMS came out to do a maintenance and check-up on a Buderus boiler.  I paid $199 for this service.  At the time, they noted three issues: the exhaust pipe had developed a hole and gases were exhausting into the basement, the Vortech needed a rebuild, and the HSI needed replacement.  I said to go ahead and schedule the work, especially the exhaust pipe repair, since it was a safety issue.  The tech said they needed to order parts and would call me when they came in.  I didn't get a call in December.  I waited a few more weeks (to mid-January) and called them. They said my work order had dropped through the cracks.  They ordered parts and scheduled a tech to come out.  He did work on the boiler and exhaust pipe, and said my job was complete.  I paid him and he left.  Then I looked at the bill, and saw that only two of the three jobs had been done.  I called AMS multiple times, since they did not know the status of the work the first time I called, and they said that the work order for the third job (HSI) had been missed, so the tech didn't know he was supposed to do it.  I asked them to schedule a return visit to do the HSI, and the tech came out the next week.  She completed the work but did not know how much to charge me, so she said I would be billed.  When I got the bill, I was surprised.  The HSI rebuild was quoted to me originally at $200.85.  (I still have this paperwork, and this amount is printed on every bill they send me.)  They billed me $318.20.  I called to say they had agreed in advance not to charge me another service call fee, since this job should have been completed with the other work.  The person I needed to talk to never called me back.  I paid them $200.85 (the original quoted amount) but they are now billing me the additional money plus late fees.  I never had problems with AMS in prior years - they did what they said they would do, and they were organized and professional. I am really angry that they are trying to bill me more than $100 over the original quote without ever telling me how or why the price increased.

I called Brenda, at Advanced Mechanical Systems, this morning and she promised that a serviceman would arrive today.  The serviceman, Christian, examined the system and discovered that the capacitor needed to be replaced.  He had the system up and running within 30 minutes.   I've been a customer of theirs for the past five years and on every service call the employees are friendly, knowledgable, and very helpful.

The issue was very simple - an overflow hose had backed up and the overflow pan was filled. The worker emptied the overflow pan and dumped the water out onto our roof. We were new to the house and had never owned an HVAC system - He then tried to sell us a new "overflow system" for $1500 saying that we really needed it.
We brought in another company to bid on the service and they said there was nothing wrong with our current system or the "overflow system" which was just a long plastic tube that snaked out into a gutter. They couldn't find anything to do and left without making a bid.
The company wildly overcharged us for core service ($600 to empty an overflow pan) and then tried to take advantage of  the situation and our lack of technical knowledge and sell us something that we did not need.
Do not use this company, they are untrustworthy.

I found Advanced Mechanical Systems a pleasure to work with.  They were professional, punctual and thorough.  They were able to accommodate my request to move up the installation date of the AC due to the heat wave we experienced in July.  My job was not easy--the house had no duct work and the third floor was very hot--and yet they worked diligently and finished the install exactly on time.

Another point worth mentioning is I asked them back a couple of days later to fine tune some of the temperature.  They returned at no charge and accommodated several requests (including adding a duct in a closet, which wasn't part of the original job).

I would highly recommend them.

Service and responsiveness has been great, and everyone I have dealt with has been very professional. They did a great job with the installs. This is the type of service you would expect but is so rare to find. Thank you!

I am changing a 3 season porch into full season living space, and I needed some new ducts in order to heat the space. My general contractor does not prefer to handle HVAC, so I hired Advanced Mechanical (who had previously done some other duct work for me). I have an antique home, and any infrastructure changes can be difficult. The guys from Advanced Mechanical did a very good job to figure out how to position the ducts to meet all code requirements, which was not straightforward. There was minimum mess for my walls and floor.  The guys worked hard, they were pleasant and professional, and the result was very good.  My general contractor was happy with the job they did.  It is my feeling is that Advanced Mechanical charges a lot of money for their services, however there are not many HVAC companies that want to handle duct work for an antique house.  Despite the downside of the high price, I would hire Advanced Mechanical again because they did the job right. 

The installation went OK. Still left with some sloppy ducting in the basement. Many problems with the system since that time. They have had to return to service the system too many times to count. Their service charges seem to be inappropriately high as well.
The changes in the system were supposed to decrease my heating and cooling costs, but I have seen no real savings.
I would definitely proceed with caution in using this company.

A/C working fine. Hope I get the same level of service on the furnace later this year!

I found them to be personable and easy to work with. They have easy pricing and easy schedule.

We had AMS install a new high efficiency furnace and hot water tank. It is very efficient. However, it was also very tempermental at first. They had to come back a few times in the beginning because the system would shut itself off. After a few attempts the system worked great the first year. Very mild winter. This year it wasn't getting up to temp. We had purchased the service policy so when there was a problem there was no charge. The service policy was similar to the policy we used to have with the gas company. Fine tunings are needed when there are large temperature changes. This winter is much colder. Again, a couple of tries, but things are going great now.
AMS has always been professional and responsive. And always fixed the problem.

I didn't think they were very competent.  They did a poor job on the installation and provided a different type of equipment than I had agreed to.  No way I would use them again.
