Stearns Painting

Michael and his team were extremely responsive. I called him on a Saturday and he came over right away to provide an estimate. We needed an extremely quick turn around and he was able to oblige. The estimate was very acceptable and we were scheduled for a week later. The team needed to work around existing furniture and kept the room very clean while they sanded and prepped the walls and built-ins. The team painted the crown molding, base boards, and built-ins and it all came out better than we had hoped. Michael and his team were very professional and left the room as clean as it was when they arrived. I would definitely use Stearns Painting again and have already engaged them in looking at another project of ours.

I thought they did a good job. They showed up on time which can be pretty rare these days. They did what they said they were going to do. They did the correct prep work. The people that were doing the work and supervising the work were competent people just from talking to them. They knew what they were doing. I did not find them from Angie's List. I found them when I was looking through the internet. When I did contact them, the owner of the company, Michael Stearns, came over here and gave me a quote on the work to be done. Just in conversation with him, I had a good feel for his experience and I thought he was very professional. So, I definitely leaned towards him right after I met him. I am sure I could have it done for less money, but I am a believer in you get what you pay for. I do not think his price was cheap, but it was good for what he did. It is not just the amount but what you get for your money.

Michael and his crew were an absolute pleasure to work with. I've owned several homes and have hired even more contractors and Stearns Painting was one of the best.  He was prompt, responsive, professional, and trustworthy. He was a professional who knew his craft and gave great guidance on color and finish choices that fit within our style and budget. Everyone who sees our home comments on the quality of his work.  We changed colors mid-way, added to the scope and even had him work with our 9 year old for a custom finish. Nothing seemed to fluster him and he finished the entire job within the time and as estimated.  We would highly recommend Stearns Painting.

Update as of Oct 2014 - We hired again Stearns Painting to paint our finished basement and once again were absolutely pleased with the quality of the work, price and professionalism of Michael and his team. I'm sure as time goes on we'll have additional jobs that we call Stearns Painting back for and would continue to recommend him to everyone we know.
