We hired Kempton Construction to do a home rehab and paid 1/3 of their total fee up front. The project was abandoned when extensive structural problems were discovered after the house was gutted. The cost of this work was not itemized in Kempton's estimate. Eventually, I was refunded $8,000. Multiple requests were made over the course of months by phone, text, and email for an accounting of the $32,207.55 spent but I received no response whatsoever.

Peter is a very talented and real person. He dealt well with the constraints placed on him by our tight Somerville city streets and lack of yard space. From arranging a dumpster, to demo, all the way through to putting down a hardwood floor, I was happy with all of his work. He has a unique approachable personality for a contractor in my opinion and his attention to detail and talent made  him a great person to have work on our house.
