They were local and their estimate was pretty reasonable.  The job overall went really well.  It came out well.  At one point, there was an issue which I thought that the grout covered didn't look quite right, but they came back right away and resolved the issue; so there was no problem.  The price was good.  In terms of the punctuality, we had to wait a little bit.

that was terribly done by a previous contractor who did not perform the repairs promised after an original redo.

The work was done as promised, and on time.  Anthony has worked for us before and always does an excellent job.

He did an amazing job. He was very professional. He removed all the tile, and rebuilt the wall behind the tile from scratch. And then reinstalled the tile. His craftsmanship is perfect. "He is a master tileman." But thats no surprise. He's know for doing good work in area and has fair pricing. He did the job right, the first time around!

The job was supposed to be complete in 4-6 weeks. The first week and demolition went well. However things drastically went downhill from there. Tony did not arrive typically until 10am and left most days at 2pm. What professional keeps these hours? Most contractors demand to start no later than 8am! What was worse was that the entire time he was working, he talked on the phone with family and friends so the time he spent working was not fully productive. By the end of the third week, I was very concerned because the job was not progressing, and Tony did not demonstrate the knowledge or drive to complete the work. He was consistently on the phone asking others how to do the work. When I questioned him, he made excuses for the delay, but said he had the work under control. At about 2.5 weeks, he began to build the cabinet and it was a disaster. He does not have carpentry skills, and was not able to follow the specific specifications I gave him. I knew I was in trouble when he stopped work on the cabinet and moved on to other items. When I asked about the cabinet he was very evasive. He would not answer phone calls and his voicemail was always full so you could not leave a message. To make matter worse, this bathroom, which I made Tony aware of from the start, is a handicapped bathroom that my elderly mother and disabled sister rely on for their personal hygiene. Tony was still working on the job 2.5 months later! I was so frustrated, but did not want to give up because I would be very difficult to hire another contractor who would pick up where Tony left off, not to mention very expensive. Tony then complained that he had not received a second payment for me and he needed the money to complete the job. Even though he was only half complete, in order to incent him to finish, I paid him the second payment. At this point I had paid him 85% of the total bill. The next day after having time to cash his payment, he informed me that there was a plumbing problem in the shower that could not be fixed. Because he had piped the shower incorrectly and not installed diverter, when you turned the shower on, water came out of both the shower head and handheld spout. I told him that this was unacceptable, and that he needed to stop making excuses and finish the job. One hour later he called me and rudely stated that he was quitting the job!

A year ago we had a bathroom renovated. In the last year, three problems developed with the tile in the combined shower/bathtub: [1] The tub settled, thus exposing cracks all around it. [2] The join between two of the shower walls also opened up a crack. [3] The shower has two niches, and the bottoms of the niches are not level, so shampoo bottles would slide off. (Niches are supposed to be a little off-level so water doesn't pool in them, but these were slanted too much.) // I called Anthony. He visited within a day or so, gave a quote of $300, and said it would take one day to do the repair. He returned later that week and did the repair in a few hours. // Anthony was extremely courteous and professional. He explained what the previous contractor had done wrong: [1] tub settled too much because it was not set in cement. [2] niches were not only off-level, but they were also built with mastic. "If the grout had failed, this would have turned into cream cheese." // He then explained what he was doing to fix it: [1] filling cracks with silicone rather than grout because the shower/tub was susceptible to vibration due to the way it was constructed. He applied a double layer, using a heat gun to dry the first layer in order to get the whole job done in one day. [2] rebuilding the niches with thinset to be waterproof. // The repair is excellent and I would not hesitate to contact Anthony again (in fact I have already asked him for an estimate to lay a new floor in another bathroom).

I was having some remodeling done and the contractor we were using became very problematic and did not finish the job. I called Fraser Tile and they came and finished the job. The work that was done was very nice. I would highly recommend them and would use them in the future if needed.

Anthony demonstrated conscientious and meticulous craftsmanship throughout. We didn't know what we wanted, but Anthony's expertise helped us figure it out, saving us money while still giving us gorgeous results. He picked up the tile for us, communicated well, and made every effort to ensure that we were inconvenienced as little as possible for the duration of the job (eg, did everything he could with sheeting and doors to keep dust contained, conscientious about vacuuming). He always consulted with us about our preferences before installing anything (eg, tile layout, height of the mirrored medicine cabinet, location of shower shelves). We had trouble deciding what color grout we wanted for the floor tiles, which are pinkish shading into brown-grey. When we asked him if he could do 2 grout colors, matching them to the individual tile colors, he agreed that he could blend the them where necessary. The results look great. We weren't sure what we wanted re shower wall shelves / soap dish options, but we went with his signature corner shelves and they look fantastic. The new tub turned out to have a slight concave curve where it was supposed to meet the tile (we hadn't even noticed until Anthony pointed it out), and he spent considerable extra time cutting the shower tiles to fit seamlessly against the line of the tub. Anthony also fixed, without charge, several little problems that he noticed but that we'd forgotten about, eg he picked up and installed a doorstop for the bathroom door, and fixed the hole in the wall caused by the impact of the doorknob lock. After the job finished, we noticed a few tiny cracks in some of the grouting at the bottom of the shower wall just above the tub. When we called him to ask about them, he explained that they were a normal consequence of the tub settling, and returned the next day to redo them. We liked him so much that we hired him to do a few other jobs (carpentry) after this one.

He was very responsive and came out quickly. One thing I really liked is that he got the tile for us, using his contractor discount. He also picked it up and transported it to our house. I know the price we paid was fair and competitive, but unfortunately I can't remember what it was.

Tony did an excellent job. He is indeed a master craftsman who takes pride in his work and pays attention to detail. The job took three months to complete, partly due to a delay in receiving a tile order and partly due to numerous events in Tony's life (car, family and health).

Tony was great. He was very responsive to our calls. He was prompt, courteous, and professional. Although he had some issues that precluded his starting when originally expected, he always called to notify us of changes; we were in no hurry, so this was fine. He laid down sheets to keep living areas clean. He worked to allow us to use the bathroom each night. When he ran into unexpected problems (PVC piping much closer to floor boards than permitted by permit), he notified us immediately and repaired the problem expertly, at no extra charge. We need work done on another bathroom in the house and have already scheduled him to do the work.

This tile company was one of the best we have found so far. They showed up on time, were immaculate in their clean up and did good work. We also felt that the price was excellent considering the semi difficult removal of the old tile they had to do. This price reflects the labor cost only.

Top-notch work in all ways. Anthony Fraser is a very nice guy who clearly pays a lot of attention to his work. No corners were cut, he is meticulous, and he works carefully but steadily. He got our floor done in one day and it looks fantastic. I'd recommend him enthusiastically.

We were very pleased with Tony's meticulous attention to detail, his determination to minimize the disruption to our lives (by cleaning up after himself every day, doing the cutting outside in spite of bad weather, and installing temporary curtains so we could use the shower every day), his ability to deal with the unexpected discoveries our old house presented. He stuck with the flat price of the original quote in spite of the latter which added several days to the job. When I waffled between several different ways of laying out the bathroom tile, Tony gave me excellent new suggestions even though it meant more work for him; and he gamely went along with my final plan which was, as it turns out, not entirely orthodox. Our only complaint was that the jobs took longer than projected, partly because of the unexpected discoveries, and because he lost a week when his van broke down. We also have a vague sense that his meticulousness wanes just a bit when the project is overdue.

Tony Fraser provided outstanding service from the first phone call to the completion of the project, which took five days. He demonstrated real artistry and pride in workmanship. At his suggestion, we saved some of the old yellow tiles to set in a diamond pattern among the new white ones. In addition to tiling, Tony installed all plumbing fixtures as well as a grab bar. The new shower is spectacular beyond our expectations. Not only did Tony clean up completely at day's end, but he secured vinyl shower curtains to the shower walls which allowed us to use the shower each day during renovation. We strongly recommend Tony Fraser!

Tony was very conscientious and exact in his work. He was reasonably prompt and always courteous and easy to communicate with. In one bathroom he laid new tile over old, in the second he removed the old tile and laid in a new plywood floor in parts before placing the new tile.

Absolutely Amazing. Tony is a true craftsman who takes pride in his work and takes the time to do things right. Everything was carefully measured out and pre-drawn so that it would look right and be on center. Corners were carefully mitered (even the small 3/4'' mosaic squares), the ceramic chair rail was carefully coped, the workmanship was impeccable. He even re-set the tub in cement when the plumber did a less than adequate job to ensure that the grouting would not crack. A bonus is his background as an electrical sub which meant he knew how to deal with the radiant heating. Also, unlike most contractors I've dealt with, Tony hauls all trash and materials from the job. I would hire Tony again in a second.

We had some difficulty with scheduling, but Tony did a nice job and we appreciated his effort. It wasn't the easiest job because of some odd glitches (for instance the tile we bought wasn't uniform in size), and we were grateful for the expertise that Tony brought to bear on the problems. The bathroom looks almost new and we are very pleased!

If only all tradesman were like Tony Fraser!!! I'm speaking as a very fussy and serious do-it-yourself person. He is polite, intelligent, works hard, returns telephone calls, and keeps his appointments. I think that his price was quite reasonable, given what I feel was the level of skill required to do this job correctly. Tony was also willing to work with me and my schedule. When he left, his work area in my garage was cleaner that when he started. I am already planning my next job for him. In addition, he got me connected with a very good plumber who I intend to review as soon as he is finished with his part of the project..

Tony Fraser has been the most helpful, handiest, tiler and handyman that I have ever used!! He came to do some tile work and re-grout some showers where the grout was coming out. I was getting my house ready to sell and had a ton of misc. other chores. Tony has fixed them all at a reasonable hourly rate. He is timely, polite, thoughtful and reasonably priced. He's the BEST!!! A few times he was later than he said and didn't have my number right, but I called him and it was no problem! The price of $575. was for the tile work.
