Joe, the owner of carpet connection was a subcontractor on an addition we put on our house. The person putting in the linoleum was rude and unproffesional when my husband asked a simple question he snapped at him. He was rude if we asked him anything. Right away the linoleum was uneven, you could see where the "glue" was put to hold the linoleum down. Less than a year later there are rips, bubbles and the linoleum is coming up at the seams. I called Joe and asked him to do the right thing by coming over to fix the linoleum (because our contractor who hired him was not going to do the right thing: see Mitchell Design and Construction). He told me he would not do anything about the linoleum because he had not gotten paid by the contractor for the work because we were unhappy. (I had not known our contractor had not paid him) However, he did put the linoleum in and it is an awful job. His name is on it and he has no interest in fixing it. At the very least he could have offered to replace it or fix it at a reduced cost. In regards to the carpet he put in, upstairs in the living room and bedroom it is comiing up at the seams (and he got paid for that). The carpet he put in in the basement I have no complaints about, but it is not used very much at all.
Description of Work: Put linoleum in kitchen and two bathrooms and carpet in living room, bedroom, and basement.

Response from Carpet Connection
The problem with the flooring stems from the improper installation of the sub floor that was done by the contractor, not Carpet Connection. The contractor refused to fix the sub floor so the problem could not be resolved.

Could not have gone better. Joe's installers were very knowledgeable and took the time to line everything up perfectly. The installation was difficult because of all of the angles, three posts, a brick fire place in the middle of the room and the Berber carpet had a pattern, which Joe's installers took the time to line up around all of the obstacles. In addition our house is over 100 years old and the concrete is very hard. All of the nailing strips had to be glued and nailed down. They did a great job wrapping the carpet coming down the stairs.
Description of Work: Joe installed new carpet and pad in our recently finished basement.
