My parents had their shower replaced. The crew was very punctual, professional and polite. They spread cloths throughout the house to minimize damage/dirt. After the initial install, we noticed a leak in the plumbing. The owner came the next day to inspect the problem and determine a solution. Within a week the problem was corrected and we are now extremely happy with our new shower!

Work was done in a timely and professional manner. They even returned to install another grab bar later, at my request,

The gentleman who showed up was professional and very meticulous and didn't leave until 8PM that night until the job was finished.  He did a fantastic job and came back a couple of days later, no problem, when the grout turned gray in a small area.  We were very happy with their service and professionalism and would recommend them!

It started out quite well, with covering the tub shower. But I noticed a tiny crack, and they had to cover the whole thing again. Then their rep kindly offered to help me pick out floors, vanities, faucets, and light fixtures if I would redo both bathrooms with Bathfitter. He was very helpful up to a point. The installation left a layer of white grit on every surface in our master bedroom. When I mentioned this, they cleaned it up the next day. The new shower door was too narrow for a normal- size adult to pass through straight-ahead, and had to be removed. (The old shower door was fine.). Both showers have noticeably reduced water pressure, even after the restrictors were removed, for which I was given conflicting explanations. Problems with the stall shower floor and both sink faucets, as well as some caulking, required return visits. I was just trying to get everything done right in the first place. The rep turned on me and tried to make it sound like I was demanding too much and they were doing me a big favor. The handheld shower head in the stall shower still falls out of its bracket all the time, sometimes hitting me. The master sink still won't hold water. The rep's last email to me was so abusive, saying he will not help me any further, I'll have to go through the main office for warranty service, that I'm afraid to ask for any more corrections. Be prepared that a Bathfitter installation will emit a chemical odor for an entire week. It was lucky it was summer, as I had to keep each bathroom window wide open, with a floor fan going and the door closed for a week to get rid of the smell.

Response from BATHFITTER - BFU138
"Hi [member name removed], BathFitter In Stoneham has no record of doing any work under your name or address. In twenty years in business we have never set a wall on fire so I can say with certainty that you must have us mistaken for another contractor. Thanks Tim"

The sales process: The initial visit was on time but the visit duration was too long. Beware that you have to watch very sales-y videos about people waoed by the product. Some of the information we received and on which we based our decision was not accurate if not misleading.  For example, when asked if the new tub will be smaller than the old one, the answer was:  no it is like 2 cups of the same size placed on top of each other. This turned out not to be true and the new tub was significantly smaller. Also the salesman offered a discount  of $500 only if we sign the agreement there and then, this in my opinion is a bad practice. The salesman also raved about the quality of the fixtures which as it turned out were of the cheap kind. The rod started rusting after a couple of weeks!
After signing the agreement: They notified me that the tub design I wanted was not available and I should choose a different one. The new design took a lot more space in the bathroom due to its flared out design.
On installation day: They did the plumbing the day before. The tub installer was very professional and did a good job.
After the dust settled: The tub took more space from the bathroom, yet the capacity was much smaller. The quality and the finish of the tub is very good. The fixtures were of a low quality and the rod started rusting after only 10 days (unfortunately, I cannot use my old fixtures since they took them all with them). Another issue, which as professionals they should have drawn our attention to, is that the soap dish is very big an protrudes too much from the wall. This coupled with the fact that the tub is smaller, makes it a hazard if one is not careful.

Outstanding from start to finish. Salesman was great. Explained exactly what they would do and how it would be done. Showed us all of our options and no high pressure sales. Installer arrived on time, worked late into evening, cleaned up after. Happy to answer all my questions, very professional and knowledgeable. Absolutely would recommend and use them again. Extremely satisfied.

Excellent.
The customer service rep was able to find our address and confirm that the tub liner was probably theirs. Water had leaked into the old tub and this needed to be removed. We chose the re-install option, rather than just popping the drain and pushing the old water out. They had someone onsite within a couple of days. The team of two guys put carpets down to minimize foot traffic on the house. They popped the drain and then the entire liner. They cleaned the surface of the old tub and the liner, re-installed and re-sealed it, and then made sure that there was a good seam of silicone on the edges.
24 hours later, the tub  is much better than it has been in quite a while.

The crew (2) showed up on time, placed appropriate drop cloths, brought in their tools and materials, and went about their work very proficiently and expeditiously.  As promised, they did the entire job within one day, having shown up around 8am, and left around 7:30pm.  They stayed until the job was complete - despite running into the evening hours - which we of course appreciated.  The new tub and surround look great - my wife and I are very pleased with both the Bathfitter product and service.

Very well. They came to do an estimate, gave me a list of options for styles and coverage, measured the space, ordered the parts and did the work. They got it done on the day scheduled, showed up on time, and completely changed the appearance & functionality of the tub/shower area. The one thing which they did not do was install a new support rod for the shower curtain rail above the bath area.

While finished product looks good, the installer was quite rude, complained that sales dept. didn't do its job correctly and damaged walls/tile. The owner did immediately call upon learning of the complaints and wrote follow up letter in an attempt to make amends for his employee.
