After 24 years, our well died. The original installer had long since retired and closed the company so I found Steven Sontag on AL. He answered the phone, on a Saturday morning at 10:30, on the second ring. With the information I was able to provide, he determined that a new motor, and likely the pump as well, would need replacement. Unfortunately, the motor/pump combination I had was rather unusual and would need to be ordered, i.e., he did not have one in stock. When it arrived, he came out the next morning, pulled the pump (sitting at 400' down) and confirmed immediately it needed replacement. A professional aspect to this was that he clearly demonstrated why replacement was warranted. The entire job took just under three (3) hours. He even made several suggestions about the set up of my sprinkler system that appear to have improved its function. Steven and his son were professional, efficient and courteous. I have no reservations about having him return if there problems in the future or recommending him should one of my friends or neighbors need well service.

Steve was prompt, courteous and efficient. He investigated the situation, analysed the problem, and discussed the status and various options with me. We agreed to go ahead to remedy the problem, Steve and his apprentices went home to get his backhoe, and they fixed the problem the same afternoon. His bill was very reasonable, given the time spent. I couldn't recommend him more highly!

He was very prompt and he worked on the well the very next day after coming out and then was finished. We didn't have to wait at all. He was very polite and answered all our questions. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

They were able to get this done on my schedule. They are reliable and dependable. They did great work. They have great opinions on the water and other services for them. I was very pleased with their work.

This was the most pleasant experience I have had with a home service company.  I called at 7AM in the morning and spoke with the owner. He took the time to listen to what the issue was and discuss the different possible causes of the problem. Initially, they mentioned they couldn't come out the same day, but he sounded willing to work things out if necessary.  However, this wasn't an necessary because I still had water running in my house.

Later in the morning, the owner contacted me to see if I was available to have the work done. Another job couldn't be completed, so they were available. They showed up about 10:30AM that day.  The crew performing the work was very pleasant and again willing to explain what they would do.  They got right to work in a very profession pace.  Once they pulled the pump out, they educated me on what was broken, my options, and how they would proceed.  I'm a curious engineer, so I probably asked more questions than the typical customer.

Although all I needed was to replace the down pipe, I opted to replace the pump as well.  But don't think they tried to convince me to do things that weren't needed.  That wasn't the case at all.  Instead, they told me what was required to fix the problem and said the pump was probably perfectly fine. But since the pump was 30+ years old, I thought it would be better to replace it.

During the process, they inspected and adjusted various well related items to make sure everything was in tip top shape. And all this only took 2 hours.  Now the water pressure in my house is the best it has ever been.  Had to warn the family about the increased water pressure in the showers.

Sontag showed up on schedule, completed the job quickly and neatly and all is working flawlessly. They did a great job.
