McDonagh Painting

Mark was a pleasure to deal with from the minute I met him.  I had my kitchen/dining area and bathroom gutted and renovated.  Mark was recommended by my general contractor.  I ended up contacting him kind of at the last minute.  Within a couple of days he was able to come look at the job and provide me with an estimate.  He left a color wheel behind so I could choose a few options.  He put up three large sections in the kitchen of the colors I liked.  I already had a color in mind for the bathroom and gave him that information and chose a couple others which he put up in the bathroom.  I chose the color for the kitchen but thought it might look better a little lighter which he discouraged me from doing because the floor tile and trim were not done at that point.  He explained how painted walls look different once they have white trim and tile color to play off of.  The color I thought I was going to love in the bathroom I hated the shade of and suggested to him that we lighten it by 25%.   Mark came with one of his employees and prepped and put up the first coat in both rooms.  I still was not sure about the kitchen color.  However, the bathroom ended up being exactly the color I had pictured and Mark had actually lightened it even more than I had suggested.  After a very lengthy delay (no fault of Mark's), Mark was finally able to come back and finish the job over the last two days.  He was absolutely right about the color in the kitchen which looks fantastic.  Mark took care of some other things he noticed that he thought should not have been left the way they were including marks/scratches in my new cabinets.  Mark and his employees are prompt, friendly, and professional.  He explains things and made me feel like I was making educated decisions after dicussing things with him but never did I feel pressured to do what he suggested.  Other than the left over paint, you would never have known they were there for two days.  After months of dealing with contractors, tile, granite, etc., it was a pleasure to work with these amazing painters.  I have another project coming up that I will absolutely be using Mark's services for and would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a painter.
