.Before I go into the details I need to begin by explaining the the job was totally priced incorrectly, the time in which I was told the job would take for completion was way off and there was ABSOLUTELY no Integrity or professionalism to this man or this job at all. BEWARE EVERYONE Glen Barr has no insurance and no license. I was told that this job would take two men three days to do the job, after three weeks I was looking for Mr Barr. The man that was working with him QUIT and I had to re-hire him to finish the mess that Mr Barr had left me. I gave Mr Barr $1,500 on May 1st to purchase ALL the supplies for this job. I was to pay the balance of $1,100 upon satisfactory completion. He went everyday to buy just a few supplies. His reason for that he said was because his truck was too small. That was not true. He was using the money I gave him for his own use. On May 7th he asked for another $400 and on May 10th another $400 and again on the 13th yet another $300 and at that point he said he had made a mistake pricing the job. It was on that day that I told him I was not happy with the job or work done up to this point. The porch floor edges were not finished off and the stair treads were not fitted correctly and had large gabbing spaces between the treads. There was still more supplies left to purchased for the lattice work to be done and I had paid him the $2,700 total at this point. He did not really respond to my un-happiness other than stating there was nothing that could be done to finish the edges of the porch. May 13th was the last time I saw him or heard from him until days after I had re--hired the man that was working with him quit. I tried to call him several times. He NEVER returned my call and it got to the point that I could not even leave a message as his mailbox was full. I re-hired Mr Barr's helper as I appreciated the work he had done and I could see that Mr Barr was using both him and his talents and NEVER PAID HIM FOR THE WORK HE DID. The morning of the day that man was to come and finish the job Mr. Barr called and left a message on my phone stating that THEY were going to finish the job today and that he would need the remaining money. Mr Barr did not show up. The job was finished by the re-hire and done very well. It cost me another $400 however I was glad it was done and that Mr Barr was gone. This was one of the worst expirences that I have ever had with any work that I have had done to my home. I WOULD NEVER RE-HIRE OR RECOMMEND MR GLEN D. BARR TO ANYONE.
