They are huge and they cover the whole state of New York and all of New England. They do a lot of replacement windows, roofing shingles, exterior trim stuff like gutters and downspouts. They do exterior molding and all that vinyl stuff. Their standards are recognized. When I used to read specification they would say Harvey or Equal. They meet whatever standards they have to for the Low-E-Glass and vinyl frames. There are a lot of replacement windows places that are really low end but Harvey does maintain a standard that keeps them in business. I am remodeling a house that I own and I bought a lot of windows from them. The windows were $180 bucks per piece but that’s just for the material and not installation. One of the problems with Harvey is that they really don’t have a lot of responsibility and just deliver what I order and if they deliver the wrong thing they will take it back but if they have misread something that I told them and didn’t come out right I owned it. Basically what I pay something there I own it and that can come back and bite you time to time. I never really had a problem with that but I came close to it a couple of times. It is such a big outlet that I think there is a little bit of efficacy in their employees and I never really had fuggy feelings about them. They just wanted the information and the credit card number. They are so big so they are pretty much the best. I have dealt with them on the Vineyard and back here and I have dealt with them quite a bit before I went to the Vineyard and they were okay. They are not high end stuff but low end. They are cheap enough but still acceptable to the standards of the trade. They have to meet standards and they have to have the Low-E-Glass for windows and the shingles are of several major brands which they carry of all. The quality of the product is contingent on whom they buy them from. It is a 45 minutes of boat ride to go there and if it is usually out of stock it will always take a week and I have to plan accordingly. Some time it is more than a week because they didn’t have enough demand to put it on a truck and bring it over.
