The process went as expected based on the timeline given by WMM. I found all of the workers to be very easy to communicate with and any questions I had were answered in a timely manner. While the price for the job wasn't inexpensive, it was fair and less costly than many other contractors we talked with. It was surprisingly difficult to find anyone who was even willing to do a concrete step job, but WMM was happy to accommodate our needs and always had a friendly attitude.
The only hiccup in the job was caused by some low wires over our driveway. The wires made it very difficult for the concrete truck to access the pour area. The truck had to drive in our yard and made some deep ruts. I told the contractor about this and he did his best to fill the ruts and reseeded the area at no extra charge.

Dave and the crew did a great job.Dave stays in contact at every step.Showed up when he said and completed the job in one day.

Good communication and follow through is very important to us and Western Mass Masons didn't let us down. The estimate was done quickly, and the crew was right on time. They spent two days with us, cleaned up very well and were very professional.  Dave, the owner, came back to check on the work after the job was done.  They may not be the least expensive in the area but they are licensed, insured, and pay for worker's comp. That's really important when workers are working on a roof. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and we'd hire them again.

This process went extremely well.  This service did impecable work.  They were very easy to deal with.  Their work is meticulous and we are very, very pleased with the results.  Owner David Osiecki and employees Tom Bauer and Owen Bresnahan did a great job!

I used them previously for a chimney cap on my prior home and found them prompt, reliable, professional and reasonably priced, so, when my new home needed masonry work, I called again and had the same result (although the work proved to be more extensive than I anticipated--our chimney needed a whole new lining, but they were responsible enough to ensure we knew this and worked out a payment plan with us).

T.J was excellent! Helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly! He was very thorough, skilled and neat! Dave the owner was great. Got back to me right away call me to do estimate just a few days after and job completed just a few days later. Can't say enough good!

They did a great job. The work was done in a professional manner and on time. They communicated with me as they worked on the project. It was done on time and on budget. They cleaned up after wards and left the site in good shape. They were friendly and professional.

The job was completed as scheduled and looks great. There was an issue with the lead flashing curling up for which Dave came out twice to address, It apears that squirrels are attracted to it. Dispite that, Dave and the rest of the masons that worked on my house did a good job with clean up, and workmanship. I would recommend them for any masonry needs.

Dave responded to my email inquiry within 24 hours and was at my door to check out what was required the next day. Within another 24 hours I received a quote. I had changed my mind about what I wanted to be done, adding one item and subtracting another. No problem, Dave happily responded with an updated estimate. After agreeing on the job, I told Dave that there was no immediate rush in fact I was happy to wait until the weather got a little warmer as I understood that this would be best for the masonry. Within two weeks Owen and his team arrived and the job was completed quickly and professionally. The young men took care to be sure that everything met my expectations. The foundation looks great, and as Owen said, "It will now outlive the both of us and more." Thanks for a job well done.

RE: the stove, I told Dave I'm so relieved to have the pipe and stove disconnected. Now I'll call someone to cart them away. He said he'd take care of it !

Our experience with them was excellent. They gave us a written estimate and were professional when they came to the house. We will be hiring them next spring to do some work. The estimate they gave us was $12000. They were a little slow to get back to us. We originally scheduled something for the month and they did not get back to us. We had a tornado come through our area, so we understood. We were fine with the fact that they did not come to our house in a couple of weeks because I think that they were probably very busy doing tornado work, so it was okay with us. We are going to wait till next spring to have the work done. We are alright with it, but we wish that they called just to tell us that they had a lot of work that they had to do for people that were hit by the tornado. That was the only complaint that we had about that company, everything else was very good.

It all went very well, from the point where I initially contacted them to submit a quote, to the point I handed them balance owed. After I first requested quote, Dave came promptly. He promptly submitted quote via email. We exchanged a couple of clarifying emails...all very timely. He showed up when he said he would, worked for the number of days he said he would. Job was completed on time. Dave, Chris, TJ, Owen all very professional both in terms of appearance and manners. Professional, yet polite and friendly as appropriate. Dave very willing to explain my alternatives on the project and processes he actually used. Chris (with whom I dealt only by phone) provided prompt, clear communication. Re: pricing....we had gotten a few quotes. Massachusetts Mason's quote was in line. Re: quality of work: Only time will tell. The work appears to be well done. I have confidence the quality of work will turn out to be as satisfactory as the actual job performance. I wouldn't hestitate a moment to give them a new project.

I had been looking for awhile to find someone to replace my brick porch. Poor initial construction, age, insects and weather had taken it's toll. This could be a nightmare of an experience if not done correctly so it was important to me that I get someone who knew what they were doing to get the job done. I found Western Mass Masons on Angie's list and called for an estimate. Dave (I believe the owner) arrived promptly and spent at least an hour reviewing the problems and making suggestions on how to resolve them. An estimate was sent to me and I accepted, scheduling the work for the following spring. After an inital delay due to issues on another project (I was called and told that there would be a delay which I had no problem with) Dave came back to review the details of the job and the work began promptly as promised. A backhoe was brought in and the existing porch was quickly demolished and removed after the portico was made secure. Nearby existing brick veneer on the house was also carefully removed and found to have water damage underneath which was brought to my attention. A good portion of the time was spent on building a solid foundation for the new porch. While the porch foundation was being done the cracked foundation blocks for the house were cut out and replaced. I was very specific on the design of the porch as I wanted it to be in proportion to the portico as well as stay in the style of the house. Dave worked with me on this making a number of suggestions on how to retain the look and build in a way that would minimize the effects of weather over time to the brick. I was also very pleased with the match of the bricks to the existing veneer, looks great. Drainage work was done as described. When everything was finished carpenters were called in to replace the six columns that held up the portico. Dave and his crew did an excellent job, professionals on every level. I am very pleased with the result, the porch is beautiful. I have peace of mind as well knowing that everything was done correctly, no corners were cut, nothing is going to fall apart in a year or two. I would highly recommend Western Mass Masons and will use Angie's list again.

They were good. I would use them again in the future if necessary and would recommend them to others.
