BUDGET APPLIANCE SERVICE

We have used this repair service frequently.  We are landlords with four units, plus our own house - and that means a lot of appliances to keep repaired.  Mark has always been prompt, efficient, fair-priced and professional.  We have stuck with him after trying several other services over the years.

They came (promptly) with two people, looked at problem (thermostat issue on stove) and proceeded to fix it without quoting, then charged me what seemed like a huge amount for half an hour's work and a 25 dollar part.  Wouldn't honor advertised discount, and charged full price for two people when only one did any work.  Told me I was lucky because it was so much less than it would have cost to replace whole stove -- but hadn't given me a choice).  I made the mistake of paying right away, but when i called to complain (thinking i would talk to the owner -- which i did, but it turns out that it was the owner who had been at my house) he was incredibly rude.  I have a friend who had a better experience with them (when it was just the worker -- not the owner) but mine was really pretty dreadful.

The project was completed but the price of $70 for 1/2 hour labor in addition to the $49.95 service charge was far too high.

Excellent. He was super helpful and forthcoming with answers to my questions. A while back, I had a different guy from the same place come by to fix my washing machine and he was equally helpful. I think this was my 3rd service from the same company and each time is a breeze. I trust them. They have always helped me figure out how to save my old appliances, saving me lots of money.
