R and R Masonry

On Sept 10, 2014 I contracted with Rogers Masonry, sometimes known as R&R masonry, to put a rock face on my chimney. By his estimate a 3-4 day job. I paid him 3000 with the promise of putting a rock face on my inside fireplace when the outside chimney was complete. From the start there were numerous excuses and delay "ll send my guys over today" or "22you will be all done next week", "the rain" He put the wrong rock on and it was very poor workmanship. No work, no progress. In November after having his ugly scaffolding on the front of my house for all this time, over two months, and a 70%completed job hanging there we agreed that he was done. (I told him he was done) He was to finish the job and I got someone else to complete the inside chimney. He never finished the outside chimney At some expense I had to hire another contractor to fix the poor craftsmanship and finish the job. This contractor was done in two days after I contacted him. I also had the new contractor complete the inside fireplace. The next week it was complete and beautifully done. After Rogers departure and 10 weeks after it had been erected, I removed the scaffolding and placed it in my spare driveway. Rogers was very angry that I had done that. the scaffolding remained in my driveway from November until some time in April. It would still be in front of my house if I had not acted No contact, rude, incompetent, would not even pickup a registered letter that was sent to him. ROGERS IS THE WORST TRADESMAN I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO DEAL WITH! I should have checked Angie's list before I started. My mistake. Do not hire him to do anything for you.

It wasn't an "A" experience. They completed it quickly.
