Boden Motor Company

After purchasing, I brought the vehicle to my mechanic and he said he doesn't work on Mercedes since they're a special breed of vehicle.  I was bummed, since I've been using this guy for 20 years.  I eventually found a place that deals in just European vehicles....BMW, Mercedes, VW.  They checked out the car and said that the battery was wrong and should be a gell type rather than a water type (this was replaced by the dealer I bought it from).  They also said the breaks needed replacing since the brake lines were corroded.  They told me that it wasn't a matter of a simple pads and rotor replacement.  I brought the vehicle back to the place I bought it from and asked about the battery.  I was told that he (their mechanic) looked up the replacement and did what "the book" told him to do.  We discussed the difference between a gell and water type battery......and then the "owner" of Boyden came out of his office and....puffing up his chest and hiking up his pants....said "can I just interject here"???  I, a single woman, said sure.  He then started on me about bringing the vehicle to "those crooks" who will "take you for all your money"....and then bringing this vehicle back to him (who I bought it from) with their list of things to fix.  I said no...I just want to find out about the battery.  To make a very long story short....this guy was intimidating to me, a single woman who doesn't know much about vehicles and was trying to get an answer to a simple question.  I don't like him and will never do any more business with him again.....every.  I urge everyone....especially single woman....do stay away from Boden Motor in South Yarmouth.
