+ -1 moreDoug lives less than a mile from my house and is also close to town tall. He claimed the work would be 4 hours (I estimated 2 hours). Doug charges $150 per hour, therefore he offered to charge $600 for this. $150 per hour is quite expensive and he definitely overestimated the time this would require of him. Zero work and less than a mile away, yet he would charge $600. Further, he kept insisting to ask ME how much I think this job should cost, which was unprofessional.
Description of Work: No work was needed. All that I needed is to hire a plumber to take a look at the minor work that was done by another plumber (faucet, pipes underneath), pull the permit ($60), and be present to close out the permit with the inspector. The work has zero issues. The only issue is the contractor never pulled a permit, and under a discharge agreement we made, I can no longer hold him accountable for his negligence in not pulling a plumbing permit.
