Jason and his crew did a fantastic job taking down a very large cherry tree in Douglas. It was in what I believed to be a very inaccessible part of the property with no apparent way to get the equipment to the tree without driving over my lawn. His team laid down plywood to move the equipment and HAND CARRIED everything that needed to be fed into the chipper parked in the driveway. When the job was done, they cleaned up everything. I mowed the next day and you couldn't even tell they were there (except for the "no tree"). Price was very competitive and Jason was quick to respond between giving us an estimate and getting the job done. Would 100% recommend SkyHook and will absolutely work with them again.

Jason and his team were great to work with. Jason set up an appointment to come see the job and then set a date to complete the work. He arrived on time on each occasion. The crew took down eleven large pines and several smaller trees and branches. They made sure to clean up everything before they left.

Skyhook had to reschedule once because another location did not go as planned. Since there was no blizzard so I wasn't upset. The crew cleaned up just about everything and were very pleasant.

All went well.

Removed two large maples and two smaller trees as well as chipping wood pile and stump grinding. Got two trucks stuck in backyard tearing up and putting tire tracks all over my front and back yard. Had to spend hundreds of dollars and many hours filling with top dressing and seeds to repair. Stump that was ground not done completely and was told $50 to come back for touch ups.

Everything from my initial contact with Jason to the actual tree work and cleanup was just perfect! I appreciated how much the team was considerate of how I envisioned the final result ... and their cleanup was amazing! You would never have known that there were heavy trucks and tree limbs on my property. Skyhook Tree was a pleasure to work with and I will definitely be using their services again....as well as referring them to my friends and neighbors. Thank you to Jason and his entire team!

Very well prompt, efficient and good clean up.

Everything went well. Work was performed quickly and safely.  Had Sky Hook come back the following week and remove 2 smaller trees.  

They arrived in the afternoon Jason and 6 other men. cut the tree down, ground all of the leafy branches, saved the logs like I requested and ground the stump. they did a great job

They did a clean and professional job. There was a crew of 6 to 8 men, a chipper, and a "skyhook" that made quick work of all the trees. It took them a little more than an hour. Jason was very professional, communicated well, and did everything he said they would.

The only reason I gave them a "B" for punctuality was that Jason had to change our meeting for an estimate once or twice and on the day of the work they actually arrived an hour or two before they were scheduled. Minor stuff.

Very happy with fast and professional service

Crew showed up a day earlier than scheduled. I happened to come home from an appointment to find them pulling up to the house! ( I would have been working at my office.) Crew set up quickly and had the crab apple tree down and ground up quickly. Crew was very friendly and efficient.
Jason reviewed what was going to be taken down off the large maple. His quote a few months before was noted to trim off the branches over the roof of the house and wires.. and that is what I confirmed. (Note: Trying to "point out" specific branches was difficult from the ground). I thought it was clear that I was expecting there wouldn't be any branches left hanging over the roof. I came out to see how the work looked and I asked about the large branch still left over the house. I was told, at that point, it would be additional cost because Jason's guy was already down from the tree..and he had told the crew they could start cleaning up to leave for the day! He charged by the amount of branches coming off the larger branch and told me the cost. I was not happy to have to pay additional monies for the job quoted, especially when it was about 1/2 the cost of the job quoted to do the tree, but he had me stuck at that point to get the work done correctly...and as requested!! He said I didn't point out that branch.. but it was obviously hanging over the roof! I wrote the check for the additional removal. The crew completed the rest of the work, cleaned up and left. It took an extra 1/2 hour to do this "added" removal! I was glad that I was home when the crew was doing the work. I was charged more than I expected and didn't like the feeling of being trapped into paying a lot more than what was quoted to do the maple tree! If I had to do it again, I would go up on the tree and mark the branches to insure there is nothing misunderstood on what branches were hanging over the roof!

Cannot say enough good things about Skyhook. I've had the opportunity to use them twice. Three years ago, they removed 3 large trees in my side yard. The crew was great, cleaned up all debris and did a fantastic job.
Needed to have 6 more small to medium size trees removed from my front yard. Called on Monday night. Got a prompt call back and set up time to meet with them at my house at 6p on Tuesday. Due to a cancellation they were able to do the work Wednesday afternoon. Because of my first experience, had no issue paying him full on Tuesday night. Got home Wednesday night and the work was complete, everything cleaned up and looks great. Cannot recommend the Skyhook team more enthusiastically.

The crew was like a swarm of bees descending on our property, and their work fascinated the retired neighbors who stood on their back porches for hours watching the progress. They were prompt, thorough, did exactly what they said they would do, worked around obstacles (we share a driveway with next door neighbors) and did not inconvenience us or any neighbor at any time, and it took quite a bit of manpower and equipment over 3 days to handle the job. We requested some wood for our fireplace, and they brought seasoned, cut and dried wood the next day. Although sorry to see the old tree go, and I hope we never need their services for the other trees in our yard, I would use them again in an instant.

Trimmed very large oak tree that was damaged during the October snowstorm last year. Portions of the tree landed in our garage and on our house. Skyhook came recommended by a neighbor. They were very responsive.

They were punctual and professional. They had to change the original date due to weather issues, but contacted me to reschedule and showed up and did the job when expected.

I was extremely impressed with this service. We called Shyhook on a Saturday to ask for an estimate and the owner came out to my house the same day. We have had work list this done in the past, so I knew that his price was very reasonable. He presented me with a professional portfolio, including proof of insurance and a detailed estimate. He scheduled the work to be done within a week, which was a very pleasant surprise, as there was a lot of tree work going on throughout the area after some heavy storms. Other tree removal services were not even answering their phones around that time. When it was time for the job to be done, a crew came out and did the work quickly and efficiently. They needed to use my neighbor's driveway to set up one of their trucks so they asked his permission. When they did, my neighbor asked them to remove part of one of his trees in return, which they did for him at no charge. When the crew was done, they left the site clean, and everything was done as agreed. I highly recommend this company.

I had a veritable FOREST on my property (about 15-20 large trees and another 20 small trees, along with brush) taking up about 0.25 acres in my not-very-easily accessible backyard. I got quotes from several companies, and went with Skyhook based on a few word of mouth recommendations. I am absolutely delighted that I did. Here's what they did:

1. Helped guide me and make recommendations on folks who could help take down the fence sections that I needed so that they could get their equipment in.

2. Made a great recommendation on an excavation company for the stumps (Brian Johnson of Millbury), whom I compared to a few others and ended up using, and again...very glad that I did), and then proceeded to coordinate everything with them.

3. Showed up a week before the scheduled date and cleared out all of the brush so that the main cutting would only take a day.

4. Showed up on the date that was scheduled, and were out before nightfall, taking everything with them.

5. Charged exactly what they quoted.

...I wish I could post pictures so that people could see the absolutely massive job they did. The price was more than reasonable, the work was excellent, they were great about working around my schedule, and I would recommend them to absolutely anyone. This is my first post on Angie's List despite being a member for six months. I can't recommend these folks highly enough.

It went very good. One of the trees damaged the sidewalk by accident, but they took care of repairs for that. I was impressed with that.
