AAA towed the car to this shop. Clearly a small family operation, which can be a good thing.

They did add on some unwanted repairs to the quote such as a new battery, and rear stabilizer, and new plugs. What these have to so with a timing belt I'll never know.

But they were courteous and professional about taking these off and the repair went smoothly and on-time. No problems at all after so conclude great quality job.

Call it a winner as there are so many shops out there that are outright crooks and/or incompetent.

We're pretty new to Godfrey's. We've been looking for an auto mechanic in our area and they came recommended so we gave them a try. They correctly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. We thought the charge was very reasonable and were very pleased when they said their work is guaranteed for 2 years or 24,000 miles. I was also very pleased when we went to pick up the car and were given a detailed explanation of the work done and also a heads up on brakes that have about 20% wear left on them. We were also quoted a very reasonable price for the brake work. I am normally very skeptical about being told I need additional work, but this is for an 8 year old car and so we feel confident that their assessment is accurate. I think you can tell a lot about a place by looking around at the environment and how they operate. What I saw was a business that looked neat and well organized. Their customer service person, Samantha was knowledgeable about the work and explained everything very well, which, to my way of thinking, frees the mechanics from having to do the customer service piece. We will be using Godfrey's again.
