They were very thorough and prompt. Our stuff arrived safely. We moved to a seventh floor condo, and they were very good with getting everything up there.

After interviewing several moving companies, we chose an Allied Moving agent, Werner Donaldson, out of Tampa. The salesperson was nice and we felt that he was trustworthy. The day of our move from Tampa, the driver and movers showed up on time and were very professional. The three gentlemen were very nice and worked very hard throughout the day to load our belongings onto the truck with care and write down each item on a list. I do think that there should have been at least one more person working with them, because it took them more than 12 hours to load stuff from our 3,000 square foot house onto the truck. They left late that night and the agreement was to have them store the belongings until we closed on our house 1 week later. However, we called a few days later and found out that they had it scheduled to be delivered 2 weeks after our initial date. Yes... that is 3 weeks without our beds, clothing, furniture, cookware, etc! They agreed to reimburse us for some minor costs, but it was a disaster from that point forward. When the driver finally did show up, he was late and then called to say that he would not be able to get his truck to our house because it was too large (we live on a secondary street and our house sits in a cul-de-sac). I know that our furniture was taken away in a much smaller truck, so I don't know why they needed to send this one to deliver it on a residential street. He said he would need to park the truck in a parking lot a few miles away, and then we needed to rent a U-Haul truck (we paid for it) to bring our belongings from the big truck to our house in several different trips. He said he would also need several hundred dollars in cash to pay more people to help him move the stuff since it would take longer and he had to drive to another city later that night, so he had to hurry. He called some local guys to come and help him, and he also brought 2 guys with him. The driver was very rude and spent most of the time talking and not making any efforts to move anything. His movers were a disaster as well. One of them criticized our lawn and said we should pay him to do the landscaping. Another mover talked freely about the several DUI's that he had and the numerous times he was arrested. The movers were very rough with our belongings and I even saw one of our boxes marked "fragile" fall from several feet high of poorly stacked boxes and the driver said "just books, don't worry". Needless to say, all of the crystal in the box was shattered. Furniture was just thrown in the second truck. The driver was supposed to give us the checklist of our belongings when he arrived, but instead did not give it to us until they were all finished and everyone was gone. We learned that a very expensive road bike was missing, but the driver denied ever seeing it. Allied has refused to take responsibility and they keep passing blame from driver to company. No bike reimbursement and they paid very little on the many valuable damaged items.
