ACORN LANDSCAPING

We got a quote for a clean up after the winter.  WE were quoted between $700 and $800 for mulch and a clean up  We were presented with a bill for $1300, because there was more much than he thought necessary.  He continued to stop by the house and call us looking for payment.  We told him we would pay $800 or lose our business.  He did agree to the pricing but continued to send the bills to the incorrect person and with a misspelled name. VERY poor run business, and with landscapers a dime a dozen on Cape Cod, I can promise Acorn will never get our business again.  

I called them to turn on the system but was unable to be present when the came. They didn't fix any of the problems I had wanted them to. They came back and tried again. The system worked a few times then didn't. Heads popped out of the ground and others stopped working. On the third visit they got it right and all has been fine since.

As a landscape architect, Steve has the eye for design and plant selection we are clueless about.  He takes the time to consider the nature of our property which includes some garden & lawn areas but also a lot of wooded wild areas which we like to preserve.  His designs are thoughtful and thorough and he articulates his vision so one can "see" how the design will evolve both upon execution and over time as things continue to grow.  We have complete confidence in his landscape designs and he listens to what we think we would like or dislike.  His crew is very responsible, neat and courteous.  
Last summer the outdoor lighting design was installed quickly and with little disruption to our yard or our activities, and the outcome is truly wonderful-- something we admire on a nightly basis.  In the late 1990s Steve also designed our large back deck and brick patio area which we still enjoy today and which remains as solid and attractive as when it was built.
