I was very pleased with the service. Mitch is friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help someone out. I contacted him by email and he responded on the same day. He explained to me exactly what he was doing and I felt confident in his work.

Mitch did a phenomenal job. He is so personable- he makes things easy to understand for the new homeowner, his prices are reasonable, and the got the work done quickly. He is kind and extremely trustworthy. My favorite anecdote was that he made a heart out of a broken shingle for my sister to take with her, as she was moving to a new state the day he worked on our roof- it was incredibly touching.

He was quick to get back to us after initial inquiry. Extremely knowledgable and professional- determined problem was a minor area that needed re-tarring and did it on the spot. We will definitely be using his services for more extensive maintenance work on our roof I'm the spring.

The guy is a very good craftsman and offers a decent price, but he is very unpredictable.  He can be a year late, but he does a good job.  He does things on his own time.  The response was good.  When he came, he came on time.

I've found him to be very experienced, highly skilled, honest, fair and reasonably priced. No BS. He's also a decent and friendly guy. I wouldn't use anyone else.

I give them a grade A, very good service and prompt. I wasn't even here for part of the job and I felt very secure with that. He communicated everything he was going to do and did it promptly. The estimate he gave me was spot on. I would call him again for sure. I give him an A plus rating. I give him A's across the board because there was not one aspect that I felt unconformable with or not good about.

They did an excellent job. It is very hard to find someone to repair slate roofs for a reasonable price and they were able to do both. They estimated it was going to be $300-$400 and they ended up just charging me $300. I was happy with their honesty.

Mitch is great. I've actually met him only once because I'm usually not home when he comes for the twice-yearly roof check and repair. Prompt and reliable service -- always returns calls and comes when he says he's coming, even on the weekends.

Mitch Hawkins is the perfect example of the small, professional business that we should all support. I called him last winter when water was water was running down the interior walls and pooling inside the house. He returned my call within hours (!) and came the following day. He spent all day up on my steep roof chipping away the snow and ice and gave some sage advice on how to prevent this. He charged only a couple hundred dollars for this service (so worth it!). I took his advice about getting flashing installed, so I called him again in August. He came by the house on his own, evaluated the situation and called me with an estimate 3 weeks later (I believe he was on vacation, thus the short delay). He made some excellent suggestions about what flashing to select and why, but still gave us an estimate for all varieties. He scheduled a work date for 10 days later, he came on that date, and finished the job in two days. The roof looks better than we expected. He was also kind to the plants and walkway with his ladder, cleaned up his mess, and left everything looking better than when he came. This is all well and fine but the really amazing thing is the fact that I smashed his truck backing out of our driveway and he was SO NICE about it! Even his dog, Roy, is wonderful. I cannot say enough positive things about Hawkins Roofing -- just hire him!

Mitch called and said he would be there on Sunday Oct. 6th, a day that we normally work. He showed up, did the job and was finished before we arrived home from work. If it hadn't rained and the roof no longer leaked we wouldn't have known that he was there. A neat and professional job.
